I arranged our holiday through secret escapes. The apartment was £100-£150 cheaper than the hotels/apartments secret escapes had to offer in Reykjavik. We arrived at the apartment at 6pm after being dropped off by 'Gray Line' (popular tour/airport transfer operators) outside a museum with no directions to the apartment. I had to use my mobile data (which cost a fortune!)...

Though seemingly away from the freeway and up and away from the nearby roads, the surface noise does echo up and into the unit. Further, upon arrival, the wifi was down. Since this is an "unmanaged" place, essentially there is no one to immediately to contact to resolve this-it took way too much energy and wasted effort to resolve this...

We arrived quite late at the apartments and as there was no receptionist due to the late hour made our own way to the room. We also informed the hotel we would be late. At first we found we were not given the room number so had to call the helpline who gave us this. We then found the key...

We didn’t get the security code at time of the booking and unsuccessfully tried to contact the management for some time trying to get one (based on some negative reviews, we really wanted to get it before leaving). But all worked fine in the end – we got our codes (for the front door and for the apartment) one week...

Is a basic hotel but very spacious and close to local stores, But Iceland is very expensive the water does smell like rotten eggs but that's due to them using the geothermal water from springs to heat the water, there was no sign of a check in desk or any sign of cleaners we didn't see any staff through out...

We mainly booked the North Star Appartments, because of its price, but being here curretnly makes us regret, that we did not spend any more money on someting more decent.... There is no appartments on the ground floor and there is no elevator, so you have to drag up your luggage a few sets of stairs. We booked the appartment,...

A comfortable bedside style room with a 2 ring hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave so you can self cater easily. We had an odd number room so only a view of the grocery shop - but we did get good WiFi! Main complaint was the 2 fire alarms we had go off in 3 days - they are making...

The apartments are basic but contain most of what you need and it's close to Reyjvavik. There were only 4 parking spots in front of the building, the rest said 30 minute parking only. We were lucky and got the last space but it could be an issue. Our main issue was that wifi did not work at all in...

Good hotell in a quiet area. Takes 15 minutes to drive to Reykjavik center. Well equipped kitchen. Supermarket across the street. Parkingspace at the door. I bit warm inside, we could not find the thermostat.

My partner and I recently stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our trip to Iceland and it had everything we needed. Since we picked up our car straight away from the airport it was good to have somewhere with ample free parking that was slightly out of Reykjavik. It's right next to the main road so you're...
