Built with help from U.K. Scouts, you do not have to be in the scout movement to stay here. The accommodation is lovely, clean en suite rooms, running water! and the food is excellent. Having seen other accommodation in The Gambia, KK is so good...More
So welcoming and friendly as always. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food is wonderful, fresh and local. Everyone is accommodating and no request is too small. The support Kaira Konko gives the scouts and the community is even more reason to...More
Everything about this place is perfect. I've been eight times and each year it improves. The furniture and linen in the rooms has been improved. There's hot water in the shower (not that you need it in such a hot country!). I would ask for...More

Hi Chris, the lodge is on the road from Banjul to Soma, on the main road that runs parallel to the river but below it - known as the lower river road. You can get a bus to it - the journey is about 3 to 4 hours long or if you have more money then you can hire a four wheel drive truck and driver which will go quicker.
Soma is an ordinary town, nothing touristy - a great place to see normal life. The lodge is on this road on the edge of town. Most drivers know where it is.
