The Borghetto il Montino is a very nice quiet place with wonderful bungalow type rooms, each with an outside sitting area. The owners keep the place in excellent shape, everything in the rooms (we rented 3) is very clean, well maintained and functional. The pool area is perfect and convenient. Out of five nights that we stayed there, we had dinner four times at the Borghetto; they have a daily changing small menu selection and all the food we had was excellent, special mention deserves the Bistecca Fiorentina which was cooked to perfection by the family run kitchen................... There are good restaurants in the towns nearby (i.e. Asciano) but none are within walking distance. The restaurant is only serving dinner, but on request you can preorder some cold platter or similar for lunch. The owners running the Agriturismo are very friendly and helpful - the place has a pleasant ambiente of relax and comfort. We'll be back.

I spent 5 nights here and had a wonderful time. The place is gorgeous and very well kept. The rooms have high quality, modern amenities and fixtures while keeping the 'old world' charm. The service is excellent and very personal. It's quiet and peaceful. The pool is great and refreshing after a long hot day of sightseeing, and you have chairs/umbrella assigned to your room. Breakfast is included and has plentiful choices. There is a small restaurant right there with a chef, so you don't have to venture back out at night to find dinner. The location is great, easy to get to the roads to go sightseeing in neighboring towns by car, all around Tuscany. I am a well-traveled individual who travels mid-range budget and this was very well-priced for the experience. It felt luxurious and should be on those list of top places to stay in Tuscany!

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful property. We stayed for 5 nights. Everything from booking to check out went very smoothly. Caterina and her team went out of their way to make our stay special. The food was absolutely delicious and the house wine was some of the best we have had. We did not have a chance to use the pool due to the unseasonably rainy weather, but the pool area was nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Because of the wonderful experience we had with this little perfect place, we came here again. This was again the best decision as everything was still as perfect as at the first time. The family gave us a very warm welcome - it was like visiting old friends or even family. We were in fact not the only ones coming here again. During our second stay, there were two other couples from other countries which have stayed here together with us last year. Funny coincidence but it is proof for how much other guests love this place like we do. The whole place is still in a lovely condition, providing a wonderful environment for a stressless and relaxing vacation inside a very calm atmosphere. And again we have enjoyed every single second of our 2 weeks stay. Dining is highly delicious because they use only fresh vegetable from their garden, make their own pasta or get the highest possible quality of products like meat. The menu varies every day and you can pick your favorites from a good variety of offerings. Everything is made with passion and love. The rooms and the whole area are always very clean and there is no reason for complains. The pool is very nice and big and sometimes we were the only guests during the whole day staying at the pool. There are no additional well-being or recreational activities offered by the hotel, because the typical guests stay only 3 or 4 days and use this place as the anchor point for daily tours to the Tuscany. Probably because of the wonderful atmosphere of this hotel all other guests that we have seen there were in perfect mood which again created a very friendly atmosphere even among the guests. Even though staying a second time for a long time (2 weeks), there are so many places to see, visit and explore around this hotel. Lovely little quiet villages like Lucignano or Monte San Savino as well as a sculpture park in the Chianti area. Assisi is just 1 hour driving distance. The monthly antique market in Arezzo (first weekend of the month) is quite interesting also. The Chianti area and the Orcia valley are definitely good candidates for repeated visits, because there are hundreds of beautiful or interesting places that can be explored. Since we fell in love with this place, we have already made a reservation for our next stay here.

I have stayed in more than 500 hotels worldwide in the last 25 years for business and vacation. This place is for me the most wonderful place ever (even though having been at paradise places like Maldives etc.). The family that runs this little jewel is so friendly and nice and their parents do a wonderful job with cooking for dinner - it is just fabulous. Breakfast is typical italian style but I missed nothing. The style and decoration of the buildings, rooms and environment is all made deeply from their heart with tons of love and passion. Every little detail is just marvelous. It is extremely clean, nicely arranged and the colors of the stone walls is just love for the eyes. The piazza/patio in the center is such a beautiful place where outdoor breakfast, lunch and dinner are so enjoyable - I thought I was dreaming all the time. Everything is just perfect and I find no proper words to express my feelings. The pool is a wonderful and quiet place, offering a brilliant view over the Tuscany hills. Every room has its own umbrella and 2 sun beds by the pool - no reservation required, no disputes, no trouble. The whole stay means enjoying a relaxing holiday and peace from start to end. It does make a huge difference when the owners live in the same property. They take so much care for their guests and the whole environment so that there is nothing to worry about or to argue about. The place is located right in the middle of some of the most beautiful foto-spots of the Tuscany. Only a few minutes drive to wonderful landscapes and cypress-alleys. Siena is about 30 minutes away, easy to reach by a highway nearby. The little village "Serre di Rapolano" can be reached on foot in a few minutes (but it is quite a steep hill to walk down!). It offers nice little streets to explore and is absolutely quiet - no tourists, thus no restaurants or shops. I will definitely come here again as this is for me the best place in Europe to enjoy the most relaxing holidays I can imagine.

We stayed in a suite and it was the largest, most comfortable accommodations we had in all 16 nights in Europe! Owners were extremely kind and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay was so enjoyable. We had to leave at 7am to catch a train in Siena and breakfast normally didn't start until 8am and they were up for our departure time with hot coffee and breakfast and checked us out. Lovely views and a nice peaceful getaway from the larger crowded Tuscany Cities. Serre Di Rapolano has some nice little eateries and friendly people as well. It is off the beaten path, fyi.

This place is fabulous .... so peaceful and relaxing, a beautiful location with great views. It’s run by a lovely family and nothing is too much trouble. Good home made food and excellent home made red and white wine - better then many I have tasted and paid a lot of money for. A great base or stop off point for a tour of Tuscany.

I spent one night in this place, in early January in what is one of the coldest winters in years. I think this place in summer must be pretty special, but my friend and I were on a weekend in Tuscany to visit the thermal baths in Rapolano and this was the only establishment with an available room at such short notice. It came to 120 euros for one night including breakfast. The room was small and rather dull, the mattress was not particularly comfortable and it had no particular charm to it. The bathroom is very nice though with a large shower, very clean. It was freezing cold weather outside and we arrived quite late so it was nice to get there and find the room was lovely and warm. A pity the heating was not on when we woke up (the owner said that sometimes the heating system block in such rigid weather - I didn't dare take a shower in case the water ran cold!). Breakfast was served in a dark main room and was my biggest let down. I am prepared to forgive all the above in Tuscany if I'm served a proper cappuccino and some plentiful traditional breakfast. The buffet did have 8 different kinds of cakes, and the ones I tried were lovely. However, all the jams, breads and other things were store-bought which is very atypical for Tuscany. You would expect home made preserves from an Agriturismo, with home-made bread, but that was not the case. It just felt like a false representation of an Agriturismo. It had nothing homey about it except the views. I left with a sensation of having paid way too much money for a room in a bed and breakfast. On a positive note, the owner was friendly and provided useful information.

Indeed, this isa Heaven on Earth! We (couple with 2.5yrs old boy) were there 8 days. Unbelievable experience! The Owners are so focused on making the stay the best in your life - diners are a separate, top level attraction! The apartments are spacious and well equipped, swimming pool and surrounding area organized in a way you can't complain even if you want to. The atmosphere there is more than superb - it is like a heaven experience! For sure we will be back! No the one time!
