#2 of 7 hotels in Ventotene
The structure, simple and elegant at the same time, the terraces made of Salerno ceramics, and the gardens on the sea cliff will invite you to abandon yourself to relaxation, to the quietness of the good old times, far from the crowed and protected by the stress. Slightly larger than a villa, surrounded by peace and simplicity, at easy reach, each room has its private bathroom, whereas the terraces allow to communicate and socialize. Islanders but not isolated, hydrofoils and ferry-boats make Ventotene an easily accessible destination.

comfortable rooms, all well maintained, with air conditioning. each room has a space outside with hammocks or chaise long. owners (Pierfilippo & Adalgisa) and their staff are friendly but discreet. Adalgisa cooks divinely! you must enjoy at least one meal at the hotel. convenient shuttle service. Amazing stay! hope to come back very soon

The hotel was the ideal base on Ventotene for us (a brother and sister in our 20s and our mother). The triple room was quite basic but comfortable. The half-board option was very good value for money; dinner was delicious and the portions were generous. One evening's menu was entirely vegetarian and there was very good fish and seafood on other nights. Puddings were not included but were well worth tasting. There was also great fresh fruit at breakfast. The shuttle bus to the beach was very handy (5-10 minute journey) and the terrace was the perfect place to read a book or for a pre-dinner drink from the honesty bar. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was my first time on the island and I loved the atmosphere.

We stayed towards the end of September 2014. My luggage was lost for three days and Pier Filippo and his wife Adalgisa the owners of the family run Hotel could not have been more helpful, constantly ringing the airport and airline and even lending me clothes! So what could have been a stressful start to a holiday was smoothed away by their kindness and the beautiful, relaxing surroundings of the Hotel. We stayed for a week in the Yucca suite which has the most wonderful precipitous sea and cliff views from the bedroom window and the non-overlooked balcony and whose rooms are carved out from a cave. Even in the heat cool is preserved internally. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom well appointed and the underfloor lighting helps to contribute to the relaxed atmosphere of the suite which is magical without being pretentious. The whole ethos of the Hotel is based on sound ecological principles - Adalgisa's wonderful cooking incorporates all the vegetables and herbs which they grow themselves and an interesting culinary curve that sweeps all the way from South America to Italy. All the staff are extremely pleasant and friendly. On demand Gigi will transport you back and forwards from the local town which is only a kilometer or so away but this distance guarantees that you will have peace and quiet throughout your stay unless like us you are fortunate enough to be there during the feast for the local Saint, when you can witness the competition of marvellously hand painted hot air balloons during the day and the most fantastic fireworks at night. We had a wonderful time on Ventotene at Agave and Ginestra and very much look forward to going back in the not too distant future.

The staff is gracious and helpful, providing a shuttle to/from the town center and recommendations for enjoying the island. The on-site restaurant offers a nice dinner and light breakfast, including gluten free options. Each room has a great view-specify if you would like a top floor with chairs on the balcony or a lower level with a cozy hammock. The hotel, similar to all on the island, isn't fancy, yet it is comfortable and clean and provides peace, silence and natural beauty. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

The rooms and such are good, but not great. The views and staff take this good hotel to a great hotel. They go out of there way to transport you to the city center whenever you want. They also were flexible with good options. Pretty much every room has a great terrace.
