This place is absolutely horrible 😢 Me and my friend stayed here for one night only although we booked for 2 nights... we had to leave because we didn't have the bare minimum requirements like hot water ... the bathroom was very dirty ....no manager to make any complaint about anything ( so unsafe) And when we left the staff literally laughed in our faces when telling them about all this issues ... what a horrible experience!!!Never ever coming back here and I don't recommend anyone to come to this hotel!!!
Absolutely shocking staff, no wifi, no hot water, no maintenance, no manager, no lights around the place, no complaint form, payed for 2 nights and couldn't stay! Lost our money and got laughed at by an F&B worker who was working behind the reception because no one else was their in the whole huge building, disgusting & cheap, pay for what you get!
All day dining restaurant employee in charge on breakfast duty was going to charge us RM25 for breakfast each though reception and booking.com indicated breakfast was RM20 each to be paid at the reception of restaurant. At 9:42am when breakfast was scheduled till 10:30am, there was no replenishment of items emptied despite request until much later with no information to guest once it was replenished. This staff is a terrible one and useless for hotel business. We asked for butter and were told the hotel has no stock of butter. The cakes were super dry and the bread was lime rock. Coffee was super diluted. And oranged cut like staff have no clue how to cut a simple orange.
My colleague and I came to Langkawi for a business trip. We originally stayed at another hotel, but have subsequently decided to move here for the next few days. We were both surprised and happy that our room has got a free upgrade from Superior Twin to Family Room. That’s ordinarily a good point. The room generally matches what you would expect from a high 4 star hotel, except on 2 items:- (1) the hot shower doesn’t seem to be functioning. Complain was made to the concierge and was told that it’s “normal” and we were instructed to turn on the hot water at the bathtub and let it flow for some 5 minutes, then we’ll get some “warm” water. Without venturing into the issue of wastage of water, the “warm water” that was supposed to flow was at best, “cool”. (2) for no reason, there’s no one to clean up the room after 1st nice of stay. For avoidance of doubt, we did not put on the “do not disturb” instruction. Perhaps, the said issues may be caused by the overcrowding of the hotel. However, that’s hardly a good reason to excuse the matter. A note on buffet breakfast - not much choices offered and the flavour was nothing big to shout about. Price of hotel was slightly on the steeper end during our stay in December. Granted, that might be contributed by the year-end holiday season. That being said, I would be happy and willing to revisit Goldsands again. 12 - 14 December 2021 Goldsands Hotel, Kuah, Langkawi, Kedah. MALAYSIA…
Their Room is spacious However, bedroom carpet and toilet not clean. Toilet floor has so many stains. Location in Kuah, close to ferry terminal and shops 30mins drive to Cenang Need to drive out to go to beach, they dont have private beach. They have rooftop with great view tho.
Tried the hotel for the first time. Totally disappointed with the service from the front desk. Firstly, the hotel lost my reservation. When i check in, the front desk said that they do not have my reservation even though i have made full payment online and have confirmation of my reservation. When i show the front desk my reservation confirmation, then he said that they do not have the room i reserved. I reserved a deluxe room with king size bed but they gave me a twin room which is actually cheaper. On the hotel website, deluxe/superior room is stated that the size is 40m sq. with city view and astro channels. What i got is much smaller with frosted window and no astro channels. It is not as per their website. Furthermore, during check out i was given a bill for amount less then what i have paid online. Why is there a discrepancy? i have to ask them to change and rectify the bill which they only did reluctantly. Something is horribly wrong with the management of this hotel. Will never go return to this hotel ever.…
Stay 2 nights here. The room is spacious. Got bathtub in the toilet. Bed is comfortable for me to sleep. The LCD tv is huge but the one in my room not functioning. Haven't had the chance to try the breakfast as the hotel not in full operation yet. Rooftop bar is nice and can see the best sunset view from here. The food during my function are superb
So booked here for 10 nights (before Malaysia went in to lockdown MCO) was looking forward to the pool and gym. Emailed them before arrival to check them facility where still open. They said no. And no cancellation or chance of discount. Which was very disappointing so I suggested a room upgrade which was granted, so thank you for that. The executive rooms all come with breakfast which we though was great given everything in langkawi closed down. What a great help. Checked in, nice room. Called for breakfast on day one and because we didn’t have a voucher we had to pay for it, £5 per person! Which was a limited menu. Even though it should have been included in the room. So we went to super market, stocked up on food for the 9 remaining nights, we thought they will easily give us an extra fridge as the hotel is literally empty. Unfortunately they wouldn’t let us have one. We ordered room service once, waited over an hour, called them back to find the order was never taken. Ordered the same on another night and it seems they raided their freezer and deep fried what ever they could find. One day we left the hotel for food, came back and asked for a knife and folk. The gent insisted he sent it up to the room even thought I asked if I can’t grab it now because my food is hot! Needless to say I managed to find an old rank plastic folk in my bag. They finally arrived about 25 mins later. Also everyday we put do on disturb on the room but that was ignored everyday but the maid as. …
The views were outstanding at sunset, so pretty and perfect to share with my partner. Service needs some work as we found the staff under the counter on phones when we arrived. I think they tried to make up for it as our cocktails were stronger than normal however we still enjoyed them all the same.
We had the biggest room ever, it felt like a suite. Parking outside was very easy and lots of it. Reception was very welcoming and explained everything. We forgot the slip of paper with the date on when we went down for breakfast but they were fine and just requested we bring it later. Breakfast was buffet style and really had everything you could think of to cater for different people. It was my husbands birthday and they bought a frozen dessert style cake for him at breakfast. There is a lovely rooftop bar and pool but not great if you’re scared of heights,
