Next to 4 convenience stores and about 20 minutes walk from the ferry terminal. It's cheap and good value for money. I arrived at about 12;15 and there was no-one at reception. I walked to the ferry terminal and back to buy my ticket back to Penang. Still no-one there at 1:45pm. At 2pm a girl carrying loads of cleaning stuff arrived. Apparently they clean and handle reception duties. She was apologetic (maybe management should pay for a bell or a pager?) and I got checked in. The room was fine for the money. The aircon worked well. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. The wifi was good all evening but wasn't working in the morning. The shower was cold no matter what I did. The towels were worn. Management should pay for new towels. They don't do breakfast these days. I preferred the Seri Mutiara

1) Wi-fi was not working 2) Hot water was not working 3) Toilet was not flushing properly 4) Somewhat noisy Malays staying there (as it was school holidays). Walking distance to the ferry (at least for me). Since it was the high season + school holidays, I needed a night to stay in town and this place was worth the cheap price for just a night (room was reasonably clean). Note: I had arrived by ferry from Thailand in the evening and left the next morning due to the high season and school holidays (plus the weather was so-so, no point staying on the beach if the weather isn't going to be good) - meaning there weren't any cheap accoms available online on the beach. Also, getting around Langkawi is a pain as it requires a taxi or vehicle b/c public transpo is very limited.

The worst place we've ever stayed. It was dirty. The towels were so thin you could see through them. Breakfast was tea and toast you made yourself after walking down the street to the next block. Downstairs from our room was the restaurant kitchen so there was a lot of noise and cooking smells till after midnight. No wardrobe space. The tap fell apart when I turned it on. There's not much in Kuah, better to go to the beaches. It's a beautiful island if you hire a car and get out to see it.

the room had no windows, the aircon was working only on 16 degrees (freezing), the bed is very unconfortable, the location is not so close to the city and the breakfast was the worst we've seen in Asia. There was no bread or butter or cereals or fruit or even milk for the coffee!!! We cant really reccomend this place to anyone.

Though located in the midst of old shop houses which can be quite dirty, i am very impressed with the service rendered which makes me forget about all that. We booked a 3 night stay via bookings.com and made changes to the date of arrival after confirming our booking. Unforetunately they didn't update their system and we could only check in the day after we arrived as the place was full for the night. I was very worried as to where we'll be bumping in for the night afraid that everwhere else will be fully booked as it was the holiday season. One of their staff was of such great help. He made us wait while he search for a place to stay. His name was Murzi. We'd like to thank him for letting us stay in his homestay which costs RM350 per night for free as a compensation for the mistake they made for not confirming our 1st night stay. Breakfast was amazing - authentic nasi lemak bungkus. Location wise, it's in Kuah town. Accessible to everywhere as we rented a car there which costed us about RM100 per day. Room is clean. The toilet too. Unless you dont mind mosquitoes, this place is a great one for you... :)
