So I don't normally write reviews but have seen a little critism of this hotel, some valid but most out of context.
We came from Perth and are an English family.
We paid a very reasonable price for a week, very - we had loft rooms and they are bright and modern, excellent Aircon and slumberland mattresses, no problem at all with room.
We made a mistake (maybe) by travelling during Ramadan so the restaurant was used each evening for the big buffets, breakfast was each morning on the mezzanine for 25 ringet, buffet was ok but we found a local cafe that we used also.
Pool side bar was closed during our stay, but I asked for an ice bucket and we grabbed beer/ soft drinks from a local shop for by the pool, pool was nice and not salt water, a few missing bits of tile/ trim but nothing dangerous.
We stayed by the pool every other day and on most days had the pool to ourselves, there is a shaded area by the water to sunbathe too but the sea is not accessible as there is no natural beach.
Hotel is ready for some external paint work, like most hotels they are still in covid recovery mode, just paint not really maintenance.
Locally plenty of places to go if you venture 10-20 mins walking,
The hotel is great value, not ideal for a beach holiday, pool holiday yes - well located.

We booked into the Bella Vista at short notice due to a change in our original accommodation plans. The Bella Vista is a little dated now and showing it's age in some ways but the Suite we booked and stayed in was fantastic. It was 71 sqm in size with a large living area and a fantastic ensuite with free standing bath. The pool area was basic but nice with a pool side bar that opened each afternoon and stayed open until late. The staff were all very friendly and the service was fantastic. Kuah Town was within walking distance. From memory we only paid about $78 AUD per night to stay here which was excellent value for money. The Splash Out Water Park is right next door to the Bella Vista so this would be a great place for families to stay even if only for a couple of nights.

though i read few lacklustre reviews about this hotel i gave it a try and was surprisingly impressed not only by the comfort it offers at very affordable price and the overall warmth and hospitality provided by its staffs which i believe was the highlight of my stay. even 5 star hotel did not provide such wonderful friendly service i must know from my previous stays. my check in was attended by the very professional and friendly en ibrahim who made sure we did not have to wait long for our check in as he professionally managed 2 check ins at the same time. this was already a good sign and their hospitality as surely they thought of their guests must be tired of the journey to Langkawi and need to rest hence they did not delay the process. we tried the inhouse restaurant which offers seaview and the food was nice and the price was reasonable our room was spacious and looks updated. noted the overall facilities may look dated but i do believe that they are upgrading this hotel gradually overall i had a wonderful stay at this hotel, good location, good service, good room and well priced.

This was perhaps the worst 'resort' I have ever been to; the moment you enter the final driveway one can notice the shabby buildings, driveway and the lobby itself; discourteous staff that keep asking guests to move away and stand in queue (they are hopelessly understaffed);
we had what they call 'deluxe' rooms - matchboxes at best with broken shabby fittings, no intercom, no TV, broken doorknobs; while totally disappointed, we stepped out to their pool side restaurant only to find disinterested staff doing their own thing chatting like it was a village square; finally got a lukewarm coffee in a dirty cup which we had to ask to get a heated version of , only to find it more like warm dishwater!
With a lot of walking back and forth to their counter (no intercom), we got some water bottles at night and being reminded that they were chargeable; not surprisingly, there was another couple also totally disappointed and both of us cut short our stay;
Adaya, nearby, is a much better option, as we leant after meeting some other travellers later.

My husband and I just spent a wonderful 2 weeks' holiday at 'our castle' in Kuah town, Langkawi - the Bella Vista Waterfront Hotel (unique architecture by the way). The location of hotel is strategic - within a stone's throw of the Maha Tower, a few Ringgit Grab drive to the Jetty/Eagle's Square/Legenda Park. Also there are many 24-hour marts and restaurants nearby. Our personal favourite is the Chinese/ Thai Seafood restaurant Kauboi - service is prompt, food delicious and the prices are moderate. The buffet breakfast at Bella Vista is varied and yummy - something for everyone! And there's only one word to describe the view from the breakfast area .... fantastic! We were very satisfied with our room which was clean, spacious and the bed/pillows were comfortable. 'Thank you' to all the staff in the various Departments - everyone was very helpful and friendly. That made us feel really at home. Our special thanks too to Zaki, Azila and not forgetting Mr. Ibrahim who went out all the way to make our stay a very pleasant one. Bye Bye for now. Jumpa lagi!

Our stay at Bella Vista was very disappointing. The pictures are very deceiving and when we arrived were shocked to see the run down state of the hotel.
The rooms are dated but ok enough, however, housekeeping is useless. They don’t clean at all just make the bed and leave, we were left with stained sheets and no toilet roll on multiple occasions plus they come at the most odd times.
We were shocked to find little bugs all over the bedside table and in the sink, when we complained nothing was done.
Hotel service was a disappointment. There were multiple times where we had ordered room service for it not to show up until an hour later! 1 occasion it never showed!
You’re left waiting 20 minutes for a drink and having nothing cleared away. Around the pool area you see many staff just stood around on their phones when they could take the initiative and look for something to do (I could’ve have found multiple jobs for them). Whether it’s lack of staff training, poor management or just outright poor staff it should be looked into and improved.
The view from the pool is beautiful just let down by the disrepair and uncleanliness of the pool area itself.
Glad to be gone and will not stay again.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel with our family of 6! The splash-out pool was a big hit with the kids, and Bryan went above and beyond by providing us with a complimentary extra bed for the kids and a late check-out as returning guests. The front office team's assistance in ordering room service for lunch was greatly appreciated. The food was fantastic, reasonably priced, and affordable. Loved the atmosphere. Affordable rates for rooms/apartment and hotel has a place with seafront view. Took the package with free breakfast which had good variety of food. The staff at Bella Vista Waterfront Langkawi were so welcoming and friendly, from Reception, Housekeeping to Restaurant. The hospitality of the staff made it such a wonderful atmosphere in which to stay 😊 Then there was the wonderful setting on the waterfront and within very close proximity to excellent restaurants and shopping. The rooms were had were very clean and well equipped. The restaurant and the staff there provided excellent food and a calming atmosphere in which to enjoy breakfast each day - along with an amazing view 😊 I would love to visit again and without not hesitate to recommend the Bella Vista Waterfront Langkawi to others 😊

We have stayed already 3 years of 3 weeks at Bella Vista Waterfront. We love it, we have one of the best rooms and all staff are absolute very kind and friendly and helping so much.
We are proud of this nice Hotel and there Service for us.

We do not have experience withe BV at the Airport, But I am sure that you can change your booking is same company.
