I stayed there with a friend for two nights. It's a new hotel so it's cleanliness gets full marks and the price is very affordable. It's very close to the ferry jetti. So if you wanna take a ferri to the penang or other places, it's convinient. Otherwise it's a big far from the waterfalls, cable car, Cenang beach and other attractions. You might wanna look at what you wanna do in Langkawi before you book this place.

Every 3months,going to over sea. We prefer to find somewhere hotels in provincial.
As we like walking easy going.

Uptown Hotel, Kuah, Langkawi, Malaysia. It is very nice one, just we like.
It is in uptown, nearby new commercial area, tourist points famous tax-free.

The new building with helpful officer, also it has comfortable enough
fine shower room, bed , free Wi fi quick connect,2of bottled water every day.
You can see a library, Legend garden & many grade of restaurant in walking distance, too.

We are staying here for15nights.
If the owner provide a small refrigerator and safety box in our room,
we are happy staying here for months avoid from Japan winter & summer.

As titled, the rooms is very clean and new. The hotel located in downtown, Kuah (Jetty), instead of crowned beach area (Pantai Cenang etc). However accessibility to other attractive points are doubtlessly easy by car.

Location is good.but service is bad.Asked for two taxis for airport transfer as we have 8 of us but they asked us to squeeze into one Toyota Avanza.
They didn't really clean our room everyday and I had to go down to the counter to ask for new towels. They didn't even clean our room yet They said they've 'ticked' the list? Bad excuse.
I requested for airport transfer and the transport was bad and we ended up paying extra cause we checked in late.Bad service.
Wifi cannot even work in lobby or in the room.
Hotel was quite clean tho there's night market nearby.
The car rental was more expensive than what they said earlier. Not honest.

I and my husband went to Langkawi on 13-15 Apr 2014. We did not book hotel before we arrive to Langkawi. We walked to find the hotel when we saw Langkawi Uptown Hotel , we like it. The price is 80 Ringgit per night. The rooom is clean. It has window , free hot water and cold water for drink. We rent a car from hotel , it is new and cheap 50 Ringgit per day.

Sam is owner , he is kindly and other people in hotel is kindly too. This hotel is in Kuah city near a lot of shopping shop. And the last day Sam drove a car to send us to Ferry, thank you for your kindly. We will go back again.

We stayed here two days and came back for one more. 60 MYR per night for an room to european standards !

Great shower, clean room and superb bed. You can also book a lot of trips from here, rent a motorbike (35 MYR) or rent a car (50-60 MYR).

Next to the hotel is the food market. And it is 20 min to Cenang, a Nice trip by motorbike.

Love to come back.

This hotel offers no frill. A room approx. 170sf for twin beds, few TV channels (mostly local but Disney cartoon & Discovery are inclusive). Most important of all, the hotel is well kept, cleanliness is satisfactory for a budget hotel. Location is tugged at a corner in the Kuah town, but walking distance to restaurants & shops. Overall, a clean & comfortable hotel with good value for your money.

Have to say the staff on reception weren't very helpful and seemed bored. The room itself was comfortable and clean, walls not very thick and you can hear people walking up and down all night and chatting. Not great if you're looking for a good nights sleep
