Before you jump to any conclusion on my write up because of the title, please note - if you plan to stay here, go ahead. I will summarize my points in pros and cons and you'll understand why the title and my recommendation seems paradoxical. Pros: 1. A very well planned resort with gorgeous chalets, well positioned to view the...

Magnificient view of the lake. Breathtaking. Simply wonderful. Sound of nature is every where. The chalets were spacious and neat. However, some chalets are kinda run down and may need to be refurbished. Food selection at the cafe was pretty limited yet sufficient. Besides the limited selection offered by the ala carte menu they mostly tasted good. You'll love this...

We had read some of the bad reviews before booking but thought that we would risk a 2 night stay This hotel is like watching a crime in action, the location is superb but the hotel must rate as the worst we have stayed in. On arrival we were shown to our 2 lakeside view rooms and found them to...

The trip to Lake Kenyir was made impromptu after our stay in Kuala Terengganu. It was a decision which we did not regret. The lake is spectacular. Although we just walked in without any booking, we managed to get 2 adjoining chalets facing the lake. The chalets were adjoined via a small corridor between them. The scenery is so serene....

What I like 1. A pleasant hotel in natural environment. Stayed 2 nights in chalet styled room with a nice veranda. I was a little disappointed that it did not face the sea. But I began to appreciate the peaceful natural surroundings sitting at the veranda in the morning. Spotted squirrels, monkeys and birds among the trees - quite relaxing...

When we arrived at the 'resort', we had to unload at the coach car park...in the hot sun. Probably useful for them to consider building a shelter there. The buggies came in from the resort to pick us from the coach car park to the reception (u will probably need buggies to ferry u from location to location in this...

What a wonderful feeling to be in a place of this magnitude. Simply put, a beautiful edifice in the rainforest. It goes beyond description. The enthusiasm and the hospitality of the staff was excellent. We couldn't figure out anything that confirms negative comments posted here about this resort. It was excellent from our arrival to departure time. The buggy driver...

The first thing you'll notice upon entering the room was the musty odour emanating from the wooden furniture/fittings. The odour was worse when you open the wardrobes in the bathroom. The hot water heater wasn't working-we had to endure cold showers. The general cleanliness was below par as there were empty plastic bottles strewn around the room that we stayed....

Note that there are a lot of steps in this resort. The resort is in a stunning location but appears to be suffering from lack of maintenance, particularly the pool area. It took two hours after arrival to be given a room with working air-con for which no apology was offered by reception staff. The Chef was very good in...

the view from the balcony of lake-view villas were spectacular. The villas do require minor refurbishment and maintenance like air cons, loose/rotting planks, damp-rotting smell, etc, otherwise this well-designed resort will deteriorate further. Insect screens and windows are absent, which for a resort like this, ought to be a no-brainer. The food at the restaurant is a reasonable. Commuting between...
