놘 – The service was awful. We felt like a massive inconvenience to the staff from start to finish. We arrived just after 8pm. The place was in complete darkness with no member of staff any where. I called the booking.com number and no reply. My friend did a Google search and got through to someone not working who gave us a different number. Someone eventually came and gave us our key but explained nothing. There was no apology. The cafe here is extremely popular for breakfast and understandably, the food is delicious. However the system for making drinks is ridiculous. We waited 45 minutes for a latte and hot chocolate. Again there was no apology for the wait. While at breakfast we noted the sighn that said the kitchen closed at 5pm. We tried to order fries at 4:30pm and were told they closed. The impression we got was the cafe was the priority and serving the room guests just got in the way. While we were there we met another lady who was there on her own. She woke up this morning and there is no breakfast and no one has spoken to her about this. Her room includes breakfast. I realise it's an important public holiday but if they don't want to serve guests they just need to close. Taking peoples money without giving them the service they paid for is stealing. I'm so disappointed as I have wanted to stay a Panji Panji since it opened but I won't be going back.

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was the best decision to stay at the same place for our whole trip, staff are friendly and helpful. The property is clean and a perfect place to relax. If you like nature this is the best place for you, as the property has tropical like ambience, I even spotted a rare birds around the area. Rooms comes with breakfast and a drink, best things is the cafe serves really good quality coffee, my personal favourite is hot mocha. They have band playing chill music every weekend. I really enjoy my daily breakfast during my stay. The first 2 nights, we stayed in a upper room, it has super king bed which can fit 3 person, the bathroom is big and had shower rain head, best part of the room is the big balcony. The rest of the trip we stayed in villa which is huge and stunning, this villa can fit 4 people, it has smart TV with Netflix fuction, super king size bed, a sofa that can be a bed for 2 people, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub. The villa has also a spacious balcony where you can relax privately and enjoy the garden view. Panji panji is also near to other restaurants and cafés with a nice view. I had a relaxing time staying here, I will definitely come back someday.

Panji Panji is my new favourite place in Langkawi. We stayed as a family of 4 in the villa which was spacious and very comfortable. It has been decked out stylishly and with good quality furniture. My children aged 8 and 9 shared the sofa bed which was a good size for them. The bed my husband and I shared was very comfortable with great pillows and good quality bedding. The room was cleaned well every day with plenty of fresh towels and clean sheets. The design of the villa is simply beautiful. There are stained glass window panels which let in a lovely light. The balcony is spacious and beautifully done. Surrounded by trees and nature, is was food for the soul after lockdown in a concrete condo in KL. We spotted hornbills and a giant Malayan squirrel from our balcony as well as various butterflies. The sound of birdsong throughout the day was simply lovely. We had our own private gate which really made it feel like we were in our own home. The swimming pool is perfect size for the kids, long enough to do some lengths and big enough for the kids to play in. The TV has Netflix and Youtube already set up, which was great for family movie nights or keeping the kids entertained when it rained. We had breakfast or lunch daily at the onsite cafe, Smiling Buffalo. The kids loved the mango waffles and fresh juices. I loved the smoked salmon or poached eggs in tomato. The coffee was delicious too. The staff here are wonderful. Smiling, friendly and ready to assist with anything. The have some old rickety bikes to borrow which me and my daughter did a few times, exploring the nearby paths around the local kampung. Panji Panji is within walking distance of Pantai Cenang but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. At the end of the road, 5 mins walk is Tubotel and their brilliant restaurant Tapaz which I would also highly recommend for nearby food and drinks. We will never forget our stay at Panji Panji - we stayed for 28 nights, a new record for this place. Many of our friends visited who were staying in other nearby accommodation and they were all jealous of our find! Thank you so much to Azmil and his crew for everything, you made it a summer to remember.

Such idyllic serenity. Azmil, the manager has decorated most of the place himself and it is truly beautiful. Both him and all his staff is hands-on, making sure you always have what you need. Loved the bikes, super cozy ride to the beach!

We had a wonderful week at Panji Panji. We loved the boutique, artistic decor and design and the spacious and thoughtful accommodation allowing us all to sleep well. Azmil and his team are extremely helpful and accommodating. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and our kids loved swimming in the pool with giant tree squirrels in the trees above! The food is fantastic and portions and offerings extremely generous, inclusive of your stay. We thought it great that we could have brunch instead of breakfast with juice and coffees rather than only having to stick aZZ a to the breakfast menu. This allowed for lazy mornings. The coffee is also the best we have had in Malaysia! There are good selections of books and magazines for guests to read and relax, which we certainly did. We will definitely be back 😊

I went to Panji Panji during my first visit in October 2015 when it was newly built. During my second last minute planning of going to Langkawi, I did a hotel search and all that came to my mind was PanjiPanji. I did thorough research on all potential hotels and resorts but in the end, PanjiPanji is the one that always popped in my mind. So I booked it and it exceeded my expectations. Arrived at the front gate, mesmerized and captivated by such lush green landscaping, small trees, big trees that provided such thorough shades, a natural canvas. Azmil, the host, warmly welcomed us. He was so attentive, kind and caring as usual like the first time we went there in 2015. We were served a thirst quenching welcome drink and it was heaven. We sat at the cafe while Azmil processed our reservation. Last time I went there in 2015, the cafe was still under construction. Azmil carried our luggage to our upper chalet room because he insisted. He was very eager to help us and very informative. He gave us suggestions on places to eat. He also helped us to get our car rental at such a great price. Azmil goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I believe he is the reason I chose PanjiPanji during this second visit. The room was incredibly spacious with a high ceiling. The balcony was amazingly spacious with 2 chairs, a table and a spacious wooden platform attached as a part of the balcony where you can chill or take a little nap while enjoying the weather. The king bed was incredibly comfy and big! I slept like a log. The room is pretty much soundproof, you could hear almost nothing outside. I was and still am in love with the bathroom! Beautifully designed and spacious. Imagine taking a shower overlooking coconut trees through the top opening in the shower area. I really love the 'almost-outside' bathroom that provides privacy,of course and air circulation as Malaysia can be very humid especially by the seaside. It can get very stuffy in the bathroom. The water pressure was excellent and the aircon was excellent. The location of PanjiPanji is very strategic, less than 10 mins to the airport by car, less than 10 mins walk to the Cenang Beach through Kuala Chenang road at the back of the resort. If you decide to cycle, they provide bicycles, complimentary for guests. At night it was very quiet and calm as it is far from the main road. They even have security guards and each guest is provided with the main gate key. We felt really safe. The Wifi speed was excellent. We had our complimentary breakfast every morning at the Smiling Buffalo cafe located inside the resort compound, it was amazing. The service was great, the staff were very friendly. Our breakfast was amazing. The coffee was great and I love their beef sausages on Big Breakfast and Tomato Poached Eggs was delicious. One morning, the cafe was packed with customers (mostly not hotel guests) and there was no seat. We requested to be served by the balcony of our room and they said, it was not a problem. The service was fast! We enjoyed our breakfast at our balcony watching squirrels on the trees, running around with a view of Mat Chinchang Mountain. It was splendid. I would definitely, with no hesitation choose to stay here the next time I come back to Langkawi.

We loved everything about this place and are so glad we chose it. We were warmly welcomed by Azmil from the moment we arrived. A funny and lighthearted, he gave us a tour around the grounds pointing everything out. You can borrow bicycles for free to ride into town - they give you a lock to keep it safe. The rooms were on point, everything you'd need and even a proper medium sized fridge for all the booze you'll be picking up in town. We had the upper chalet and we liked it for the high ceilings and exposed beams. The decor is so well thought out. The perfect blend of modern and traditional. We sat by the pool for most of the day (RMCO no swimming) and really enjoyed the sound of nature. Azmil is very attentive to the guests needs. He saw us walking to the pool area and made sure the cushions were ready for us to lie on. Breakfast always fantastic. Choose anything from the breakfast menu, get any coffee you like and any juice you fancy - all included in the room with breakfast! The cafe is so rustic and great for Instagramming. I had a lot of comments from friends - where is this place!?!? We ended up having lunch here too. Very reasonable prices. And they have the best coffee on the island! A grab ride from the airport is RM10. RM5 to town and RM5 back to Panji Panji. You can also walk if that's your thing. We walked one day for major fun. It was hot but we felt good, like how most chubby people feel when they've done some exercise. In all honesty it's only a ten to fifteen minute walk. We will definitely be back. It's our new favourite place to stay in Langkawi.

We returned to Panji Panji after 3 years and were not disappointed! Azmil goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and the rest of the staff are also friendly and helpful. Panji Panji (and Azmil) were the reason we returned to Langkawi. The accommodation has a unique, welcoming and comfortable vibe. We brought friends with us this time and they are also keen to return!

We have just returned from 7 night stay at Panji Panji. After spending a lot of time of time deliberating over where to stay we are SO glad we chose here. The property is wonderful, its a cool oasis to come home to after a day exploring the beaches. A family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters, we booked the upstairs villa for us and the downstairs villa for the girls. This worked so well, with everyone having their own space. The villas are very clean, air conditioned and loved the coloured stained glass windows throwing off beautiful rays of light around the room. Bathroom is partly outdoor, so nice to shower in a bathroom unlike any thing else you find in your standard hotel room. Amazing cafe, staff beautiful and so friendly to talk to. Loved the coffee, having travelled to Asia a lot, we're always disappointed with the coffee, but not here - its amazing!! Small things but makes a big difference. Property Manager Azmil is fantastic, his personal recommendations for tours, restaurants, beaches, car hire were all SPOT ON, Thanks Azmil for being such a wonderful host, not intrusive, but always there if you need him. The pool is lovely and being a small property on most occasions we had the pool to ourselves. Kids loved this. If you are looking for 5 star luxury, bright and shiny everything, and 24/7 room service, this is not your place, however if you want an authentic, cute and quaint property with wonderful personal service, this is your place.
