A must visit every time we are in Langkawi for a nice meal. They even have live band and entertainment during the weekends. The owner runs a resort as well as an animal shelter. So don’t be surprised to see a few cats at the restaurant. Food is consistently good and the restaurant has a nice chilled out relaxing ambiance.
Our stay at their largest unit, Cahaya, for 3 nights was utterly delightful. Breakfast was delivered to your house and it consisted for delicious breads and cakes, in addition to juices, yoghurts and preserves. The decor fits the bill of a rustic space, but everything was made comfortable, including TWO air-conditioning for the main bedroom. It is worth the money you spend to experience this, a place like no other. My small gripes were the potholes on the gravel road leading to the property, and that there needs to be a skimmer available to skim leaf debris from the pool before a guest swims. We will be staying here again if/when we return to Langkawi!
Bon Ton Resort is a 10min away drive from Langkawi Airport. We rented a car for easy moving around eating and buying duty free stuff. It’s nearby Lassie a place and cafe for dog and cats adoption. This villa is equipped with a pool , Nam restaurant and free wifi . I particular choose the white frangipani room that has a single bed for my girl. What I enjoy the most about bonton is the Netflix, the wooden tub and also the friendly service from the staff especially Syamir that served us. When we arrived at bonton, we get to unwind with a glass of wine. Wow 🤩 that is amazing Would strongly recommend and comes back again as I feel relaxed and feel so cosy just chilling around the sun deck area. Not noisy and you will be surrounded by nature and breath in cool refreshing air
Stayed in the Palm Chalet... Typical kampung houses on stilts. It does creaks a little but that is how it is on wooden planks flooring. Well cleaned modernized gently especially in the bathroom-toilets. Mozzie drapes and mozzie repellents will provided in the room. Don worry.. jus ensure the drapes r down much earlier or rather keep it down during ur stay... EXCELLENT roast lamb... I couldnt resist and went back for 2nd the next day. Well cood for the beef too...
A very interesting, unique and relaxing concept of a traditional kampung Malay village as you can find in the countryside of the country. A lot of details and small attentions including decorations for the pleasure of our eyes and senses. If you are definitely seeking for something different, go for it! Great service, friendly welcome including from Narelle the Owner in person which makes her place as it is!
Stayed in Yellow Orchid Villa. Stunningly restored and so unique. The place was so quiet. Fantastic breakfast delivered to Villa each night for following day. Everything you could possibly want in our own villa. Outside shower, bath tub etc. Beautiful, tranquil surroundings, nature, scenery, pool area. Didn't want to leave. Amazing food in the restaurant. Attentive staff and great manager by name of Amir. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely be going again. Sat and watched the amazing sunsets. Stayed 3 days and felt totally relaxed when left. Wished we had booked longer!!
We stayed here for 1 night on 30/9/2021. Pros - We love Blue ginger villa. The colorful interior inside the villa and LOVE the outdoor bathroom. The surroundings of the hotel is beautiful too. Cons - we don’t really like the idea of DIY breakfast. For the price that we’re paying, the hotel should be able to provide a proper breakfast at the restaurant. - The garden grass needs trimming. - there are some parts of the bathtub is rusty - reception and restaurant area is gloomy and dark - while the staff are friendly but I feel the whole place lack of homely vibe compare to Kunang Kunang Villa.
The houses at Bon Ton are just unique and wonderful. One of the most beautiful places we have stayed during all our holidays in Asia. Great food at the restaurant! Nice swimming pool and very kind staff.
We were in Langkawi for Christmas and decided to book and go to Bon Ton for Christmas dinner. I clearly remember Bon Ton when it was in KL many moons ago (best desserts EVER) and we have since been to the one on Langkawi albeit more than 7 years ago. Ambience is as good as ever. Lovely feel about the place with its open concept and the service was very, very good. We had a set menu with choices of mains etc. It was all really good. Do yourself a favour and go and check Bon Ton out - I think you will enjoy it very much.
My wife and I were supposed to stay at Bon Ton in March 2020, however, due to COVID, we, unfortunately, had to cancel our trip. We proceeded to ask Bon Ton for a refund which they verbally agreed to do. Unfortunately, Bon Ton had to make a manual transaction over the counter at Maybank in order to process the refund. This took a while since banks were not open until June. Bon Ton provided me the necessary documentation to follow up with Maybank as Maybank was very slow in their correspondence in processing my refund. Turns out that Maybank required more documentation but never took the initiative to contact Bon Ton. When I contacted Bon Ton myself, they were so responsive and supportive. A lady by the name of Sal provided me assurances that she will follow up with the bank with my refund. She even provided me weekly updates to me where she didn't have to. I finally received my refund from the bank, but the lasting impression I got was not the process of receiving my refund, rather the excellent customer service I received from the Bon Ton Staff especially Sal. On my next trip to Langkawi, I will definitely stay at Bon Ton... it's the people that make the hotel charming, not just the surroundings! Thank You Bon Ton staff for the undying support during such a troubling time.…
