Little chalets with very spacious, air conditioned living area and a kitchen
Right next to the night market on Thursday nights
In walking distance from Cenang Beach
Very loud the way they are build and because of the close proximity to the road

The Chalets are very nice, spacious, clean and relaxing. Its about 10 minutes walk to the beach and all you need is close by. Though a bit more expensive than average - its worth the money from our point of view! The owners are very nice, helping you with all your needs (picking up, giving advices, car renting, organizing stuff...). They also organize trips (bootstour, fishing etc.), which was a great experience for us (again, worth the money). For us, its the place to stay in Langkawi!

We visited Langkawi for 8 days at the end of December staying at the Bohok. We really couldn't fault anything. The owners live on site so are always around to answer questions & went above & beyond to make us feel welcome. The chalets are spacious and well decorated. There's a large combined sitting and sleeping area. A small kitchen with kettle & toaster. Large bathroom with rain shower. They all have a front porch where you can sit outside & relax. The airport is very close by so no lengthy transfers to incur. There is a short cut down a dirt track into town which takes about 10 mins although a torch is required. I would suggest taking ear plugs if staying here to as although it's away from the town it's next it a busy road and village so if the road doesn't wake you the early morning call from the cockerels will. With ear plugs in we slept well & we're not affected. We hired a scooter locally which was a cheap and easy way of getting around the island. Just make sure you check the tyres as ours were not in good condition and we had to swap the bike twice! We hired from the tea shoppe which is on the left just after the end of the short cut on the main strip. The beach is beautiful however it can be difficult to have a relaxing swin due to the haphazard nature of the water sports. I would highly recommend the bohok in fact I have already done so to a work colleague who's visiting in October. Another quick tip re flights just be aware if your connection to Langkawi is with air Asia they are located at a separate airport in KL which is a 20 min taxi ride from the main airport. We were caught out with this as we were not aware when booking flights.

Traveled to Langkawi with my wife and 5 yr old son. Farid the owner offered to pick us up from the airport. He was always ahead of the game. He got in touch with me a day before we traveled to check our travel plans. He also replied to all my queries in time. I had asked him to reserve a chalet with kitchenette and he obliged. The chalets are clean and big and come with basic supplies like soap and towels. The chalets are built according to traditional malay architecture and are well spaced out. The bathrooms were clean. The pantai cenang beach is 10min walk from chalets. Farid does his best to keep keep his guests comfortable. He went out of his way when my car battery drained down and came to pick us up late night. I would highly recommend staying at the Bohok Langkawi for a proper Langkawi experience.

Staying at one of the cottages at the Bohok Langkawi was the highlight of our stay on the island of Langkawi. The location is near the main beach, Pantai Cenang. As other reviews have mentioned, the walk to the beach takes about ten minutes and is a scenic stroll past fields with buffalo, local homes and a few backpacker guesthouses. You could stay in a sanitized resort elsewhere on the island, but where's the novelty in that? To make the location even better, there is a night market with a variety of freshly-prepared local foods on Thursday nights right across the street. We even took a couple trips to carry all the food we bought! The only downside to the location is the noisy traffic on the street outside the compound if you're a light sleeper. But ear plugs or noise-canceling headphones help.

The cottage itself was roomy and comfortable. It had a big bed with plenty of pillows and a recently-added mosquito net. The cottage was almost like a suite complete with a minifridge, lots of windows and a porch. After a long day of doing all sorts of island and beach activities, the porch was a pleasant place to relax. Of course, mosquito spray came in handy since this is Southeast Asia after all. Farid gave us a mosquito repellant coil as well which helped keep the pesky insects away.

What really set the place apart was that Farid was a welcoming and attentive host. He was personable and all-around just great to talk to. He helpfully gave us a number of recommendations including activities and food that all turned out to be spot on. He even offered to drive us over to Jalan Pentai Cenang when it was raining.

When you go, don't forget to say hi to Farid's "boss," the cat Mimi!

What makes this place so special is Farid, and his brother the owners, they go out of there way to make you feel at home, this begins with collecting you at the airport, and then give great advice on where to visit and things to do. The chalets are lovely, with a warm homely feel, they have really comfortable beds and 2 lots of air conditioning. we had a wonderful time there, we miss Farid already and look forward to going back again in the future.

The chalet is very quaint. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants along a very narrow busy road. Easy to get a taxi 10RM if you don't want to walk. The first morning I was awaken by the roosters and traffic 6:30am The second morning I slept till 11:00 and never heard a thing must of been tired from all the walking.

Recommended staying here if for small budget but big worth it. Free parking & wifi also near pasar malam (night market) Tuesday. Also near kedawang easy to find cheaper breakfast & dinner (most important). Dont buy at chenang, its cost more higher. Recommend for family staying.

My partner and I had the most amazing stay here and were so sad we couldn't stay longer. We were picked up by the owner from the airport and was amazed by his friendliness and helpfulness to newbies on the island. Our chalet exceeded all expectations along with everything else in Langkawi. The owner was so helpful and always there for anything we needed. This chalet is magical along with the island itself. Thanks for a great stay!

The rooms are fantastic to stay in. Very comfortable with ac etc. the owner went out of his way to help. Very helpful! The walk to the beach makes you feel like you are part of the little town full of children throwing piece signs and waving. Very spacious.

Would recommend this place.
