The resort is perfect for those who love to enjoy beach view. You can enjoy the sunset view in front of your room but you need to book early especially during the school holidays. It is also close to restaurants, malls, souvenir shops and you just can walk to that places.

Good location..... just a few steps from the beach. Nearby have many free duty shops. Langkawi is a perfect place for chilling/entertainment. Highly recommend beach lover to stay at here. The local food restaurants are also just a few steps away from this motel. Langkawi is a place that suitable for families, friends, couple as well as honeymoon destination.

At first i was attracted by the location of this motel which is perfectly located on the beach side and the main road. Then i went with my family to the reception to check if there is available rooms. They told me there is a sea-view room so i felt excited and the price was 180 Malaysian Ringgit per night. I went to see the room and it was just ok, and I decided to take it. I went back to reception to finalize the reservation. I asked them what you need they told me only the passport and the credit card, once they finalized the reservation process they refused to give me back my passport and they told me they will keep it as a grantee. I was not happy at all and i explained to them that i need my passport to be with me and it is illegal to hold my passport for grantee. They start treating me badly and they said they will give me my money back. So they cancelled the credit card payment and they give me back my passport and i went to look for another hotel near the area.

It very ridiculous and although it so call a budget accommodation, yet we are still paying and deserved not to be given a room which more or less a prison in quality....
1) rotten bed sheet
2) smelly pillow
3) disgusted towel with some stain on it (does it being wash properly and thoroughly)
4)Curtain was used as a blanket???? What the fXXk!!!!!!
5)Room is just close to beach but not infront of the beach, still full of sand that was not being swiped before selling the room to people
6)Room given without the window.... can't breath and............
7)TV and minibar fridge provided but only as a decoration as both is malfunctioning
8)Many more to be list here but i need to find another budget resort for me and my friends......

Never ever try this hole.Sleeping in a car or tent is better and cheaper! 1. Dirty. AC and Fan are extremely dusty 2. Stinky and old towels. 3. No Wi-Fi!!!! 4. No toilet paper :-) 5. Sure no breakfasts and complimentary water as well as tolieteries 6. Wrapped pillow and no blanket!!! Avoid this place

Just to let all people know that AB Motel Langkawi Malaysia has begbugs / fleas. We stayed two nights (Dec 05) & ended up covered from head to toe in hundreds of insect bites. The staff were rather rude & non helpful. They didn't offer to give our money back or let us change rooms. They said it was our choice to stay in the room we had or leave.

AB motel is the best choice in langkawi if you are on a limited budget. I booked our stay (family room) 4D3N thru email and they replied after a few hours and let me deposit a reservation fee of 100 for the securoty of the booking. We took a room on sea side and the family room has 2 double bed enough for a family. the room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. overall I gave them a 5 star rating for cleanliness as they are always there to clean your room whenever you call for it but of course only diring the day until 6pm as the utilities are only available during day time. reception is not available overnight but that was okay because the place was in the very busy road of Pantai Cenang where you will feel safer than in the far far distanced hotels. thre are so many convenient stoes around the area, walking distance to underwayer and duty free stores. Cenang mall is just about 300 meters walk where you can find KFc , Old Town, Starbucks etc... and the duty free liquor shop which sells cheap alcoholic drinks. We rented a car just a few minutes walk from the hotel and the car was cheap RM70 per day (Viva). Our room was very good, linens and bedfings are changed daily and cleaning time is ofcourse during your convenience. They have free hot water everytime 24 hours in the reception area so if you feel like having a cup of noodles or coffee, it is very useful. I used it for my baby's feeding bottle haha. Over all, the scene from our room was very very fascinating all through out the day or night from the balcony. We had the Chalet type of room or brick room with balcony and the room was worth the RM 150/night. They do not have wifi in their rooms so if you are looking forward to quality time with your loved ones, it is really the best place to stay in Langkawi. Wifi is only available in the reception area 24hrs and for me it was a good idea so people staying will or can spend more time with their vacation and not on social media :) . If i will have the chance to go back to Lankawi, I won't settle for any other place but AB Motel.

120 RM for Family Room is very cheap, cause the location is at the center of cenang beach, just a few step you can touch the wave of the sea, Family Room is recommended for 4 pax, 2 queen bed inside the room, TV is only 1-2 local channel, Chalet B 8 until 10 is Facing The Sea, my Chalet is G1, this room at the new Building, but not really facing the sea, The Main Problem in this motel is Mosquito, bring your mosquito lotion or hunt the mosquito if you wanna sleep well
Tomato Resto is the Recommended one, cheap and tasty, n so many kind of food they serve
Orkid Ria Seafood is Delicious, but not cheap
Go to the Duty Free Shop next to Underwater World, buy some wine, whisky, Chocolate n Cigaret, the price is very-very cheap compare to everywhere in malaysia

I got to know about AB Motel through Trip Advisor. All the reviews were right! I chose the bigger chalets nearer to the beach at RM90/night (less than USD 30!!!). It made quite a good impression as it is clean and every chalet comes with a private semi gated terrace so we bought cheap beer (about USD 0.50) and we got to enjoy it in front of our own rooms. You can still hear the waves hitting the shores and if it is a good windy night it comes with a cool sea breeze. (* Remember to request for rooms facing the beach as AB Motel also have rooms accross the road! The rooms facing the beach is much cooler)
In the morning you can just hop from your bed straight to the beach for a morning shower as the beach is just steps away. There you can find services like parasailing (about USD 20), jet skiing, banana boat, island hopping, or you can also choose for those islands getaways packages too. Pulau Payar is famous for those who wants to go snorkelling and diving.
Back to AB Motel, it is located along the beach of Pantai Cenang, which is just 15 minutes drive away from the International Airport. There is also a duty free shop nearby called The Zone which sells the cheapest chocolate and alcohol in Langkawi and those with kids can go to Underwater World. At night there are stalls selling cheap souvenirs just steps away from AB motel. Stalls open 11am to 11pm.

It's also not too crowded so there is space to breathe. Suitable for people of all ages and for family with small children too. Did I mention that we are able to do laundry in our chalets and hang them on our terrace? There's a string where we can hang our wet clothes so it's very convenient!!!
I will definitely go there again and will recommend my friends to stay there if they are looking for a budget place to stay!

What was exactly inaccurate? As i said we only staid there for one night and it was not clean and full of insect, but you can never pay for an old car and expect to receive 2017 BMW
