The hotel is located in the heart of Cenang, next to its main square. In the evenings there are artists and shows with very loud music until 12 midnight. The windows do not close properly and you hear absolutely everything.
Our room at first overlooked the main square, it was a torture of noise. We asked to be changed, and it happened. On the other side of the hotel it is much less noisy, you can sleep at least.
Very attentive staff, do what they can with what they have at their disposal.
Pretty poor breakfast, but again the same, for what you pay you can't ask much more.
If you are thinking of going to Cenang, I would choose something a little further away, closer to the Pelangi resort. Cenang is not very big and everything is accessible on foot.

Besides the beach being right on your doorstep the hotel is only minutes away from a variety of restaurants, cafes, and a couple of the beach bars.
Price was great value
I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel staff were definitely not interested in their customers, nonchalant unengaged and more bothered by the guests. Could need training and some customer service courses maybe smile and say hello back.
Worn and really poor standard in both building and room, didn't get towels for the room, was probably modern in the 50s. Fet reminded me of a bad hotel in East Berlin in the 70s.
Will not set foot there again! It wasn't cheap either, the breakfast was very spartan, make sure you either had an egg or an omelette, not both!🙄
But it seems that you are more bothered by your guests and don't think it's particularly fun with foreigners either.
The room was shabby, only 2 sockets, old worn furniture, peeling paint on the walls, rust on the taps in the bathroom, a large tin roof outside the window!
Well, don't book here, add a couple of hundreds and book anywhere else.

The lift is disgusting. We had to change rooms because the air con didn't work and the window was broken. The towels all have stains on them, you can hear everything in the neighbouring rooms and the corridor. The staff walk round talking over radios, which can be heard, so there is constant noise day and night. Breakfast is simply awful, the tables and chairs are filthy the cutlery is sticky, I ended up having to take wipes with me to clean then before I used them. Very difficult to get eggs made.
The pool is green and even if you wanted to use it there are no sun loungers.

The second room wasn’t much better.
No towels. One pillow. Dear cockroach in the hallway.
A door separates us from a noisy family next door. It had no lock on our side.
Techno music playing on the beach with fire throwers for HOURS until 1am.
Drunk people stumbling round the corridor and nobody on reception to speak with.
Curtains wouldn’t open. Air con was so dusty we were coughing. 2 plugs on opposite side of the room to the bed.
The window wouldn’t close and someone had attempted to screw it shut (probably because of the never ending awful music outside.
Dirty cups.
We didn’t even bother with breakfast, the smells of burned food stank and the dirty plates in the hallway made us feel sick.
Checked out early.
If you want a nice trip I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Malaysia and this is by far the worst.
I was leaving at 6.30am Monday 27th Feb, to catch an early flight. Too early for reception hours. However reception had informed me to collect my deposit from night time security. Which I did.
Then I was having trouble getting a Grab car to the airport. This security guard approached and told me he could get a cab for 50 Ringgit. Wow, Grab is about 12 Ringgit and taxi rank 25 Ringgit.
Having been to Langkawi over 20 times this upset me. A thieving security guard at the end of my lovely week.
I accepted his offer as I was desperate.
But I happened to walk outside and saw a cab in the distance. I flagged him towards me. All the time the security guard was saying NO, NO, NO, car coming.. The nearby cab was only 20 Ringgit because it was hailed and not at the rank. So I happily jumped in that car.
Now this dodgy security guard is trying to make 25 Ringgit out of customers at early hours of the morning. Unbeknown by the hotel.
Hence a less than favorable review.
But the entertainment out the front these days is way too noisy for an older guy, and it goes until around 1am nearly every night.
I'd probably consider staying somewhere else in future because of the noise.
During the day it's lovely.
