When checking in we were kindly given some tips about the island. The lady at the counter told us the best way to get to the beach (which is only a 4 minute walk) and the restaurants (this isn't hard to figure out by yourself since you literaly just have to walk down the street but it is a nice gesture). The room was great! A clean bed, clean towels, drinking water and a clean bathroom. The only downside was the smell that seemed to be in the room. After turning on the AC it did go away but when we came back from the beach, so did the smell. Breakfast was simple but good (10 RM Per Pax, it's hard to get anything cheaper near Chenang Beach).

Nice place to stay, one of the first ones arriving at Cenang. A short walk (5-7min) to the beach. The room was in good condition and the AC worked pretty good. No ants nor other insects in the room. Free parking for motorbikes right next to the room.

My partner and I stayed at the Chenang Inn for two nights, and unfortunately ended up regretting it. The rooms are very small and the bathroom even smaller, the shower is literally on top of the toilet. On arrival, the grate over the (dirty) drain in the bathroom had been left up and a cockroach had crawled out. The room was also full of mosquitos day and night, luckily we had a mosquito net with us to use (there was not one provided in the room). The only plus point would be the location, as it is close to the restaurants and beach but down a little road so away from the noise.

We stayed here for a week while we explored Cenang beach everyday/night. It is located right at the end of the main beach but off the main road so avoids the noise and traffic. The rooms were fairly small and the bathroom was tiny but the wifi was strong. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Excellent place if you plan to be out all day and night and just need a comfortable place to sleep.
