Good location near Chenang beach. About 10 minutes walk. Stayed one night here during the RCMO September 2020 for my solo birthday trip. Arrived later in the evening/check in. Booked the double storey chalet with breakfast on promo price through Agoda. Very spacious & comfy. Queen size bed. Had a good night sleep. Breakfast with a view of the paddy field. Friendly & helpful staffs around to assist you if you need anything. Overall, great staycation for me! Will definitely come back and stay here again.
We loved our short stay here! For the price we paid, we couldn't have been happier. Check in was easy, big comfy bed, views over fields (sometimes with cows) and a lovely resident cat. The outdoor shower was more powerful than we expected - a bonus! Aircon worked very nicely - the cabins get hot during the day (obviously) and the aircon didn't take long to cool us down when we got back. Not far from the beach and down the road from a night market. The road is nearby but that's not a problem unless you are a very light sleeper. There are no bells and whistles here, no large pool and sunbeds, it is what it is - and it's beautiful. I'd come back :-)
A place we called home. We always prefer the double storey chalet. Room is clean. Trust me, no mosquitoes or any other insects in the room. Its our 3rd stay here. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Just change the breakfast menu a lil bit. If they use real koko krunch would be nice.
Nice chalet/resort/hotel. Bet the foreigners would love to stay here due to the environment more to village style. It is so relaxing. Whats best is it is located in the middle of city. Good benefit. Just hoping the manager of Gemalai Resort would upgrade it better specially the activities like cycling. Get the bicycles fixed and for sure there will be more guest coming!!
I booked a superior chalet for my friends birthday. Having told the staff it was my friends birthday, they went above and beyond to make it a special day. Balloons and a happy birthday banner were set up in the room for arrival. The accommodation is fantastic and staff are exceptional.
We had a fantastic time at the Gemalai village. The rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and we loved eating at our own balcony each morning with the resident cat. Just a short walk to the beach made it an ideal location if you are looking for somewhere just a bit further away from Langkawi Main Street. Light sleepers will require ear plugs as the road can be slightly noisy but for the price you can’t complain! Definitely good Value for money and wood recommend a few nights here!
Stayed at Gemalai Village for 3 days. The staff was very helpful and kind. They let us choose which room we prefer which we find very considerate. The nipa hut itself is big and spacious. The bed is comfy to sleep in. The only problem is that the room can get very hot in the afternoon but nonetheless if you are out the whole day it doesn't really matter but at night with the aircon is good. Breakfast is served always on time it is always the same but good enough to start the day. We made few friends with their house cat and roosters. Be ready to welcome them during your stay. I would definitely recommend this village to stay in around Pantai Cenang. It is a bit of a walk to get to the street but its nothing when you get an authentic village surrounding around. We had a great stay here. …
Located right at the entrance of Cenang Beach, this unique accommodation maintains the Malay Kampung (Village) experience within a Sawah Padi (Rice Field) ambiance. There are 6 chalet units available for guests, all of which incorporates the traditional Malay house concept.
Great experience. walk able distance form beach amid lush green paddy field. lot of birds around. food is awesome. they have their own spa . staff are very well behaved. little noise sometimes as there is a street nearby.
We stayed here, me and my wife for a couple of nights. Huts are very authentic, well maintained and very clean. Reception is only available till 5 pm. Walking to reception (from any room) is like 300 meters in a muddy road. Due to having the highest portion of room wall made of glass it attracts lezards once you switch on the light. The issue is they have an open air bathroom concept. So if you go by night you will find those lezards with you at the bathroom. Extremely delicious breakfast is served in the room.
