We arrived at this hotel on the 18th of March at half eight, by nine we had been in three rooms! The issues are that the hotel is in the middle of a building site both external to it and internal within the hotel, and some of those rooms are suffering from that work and general deterioration. The fourth room...

Room was a bit cramped for 2 people, and could do with a bit more cupboard space, but beds very comfortable! Good shower/bathroom! Very friendly and helpful staff, both at Reception and in the restaurant. Very central for transport to other parts of the island, with bus stops practically outside and very close to ferries! Maybe could do with more...

The hotel does not qualifies for a 4 stars hotel. Maybe for a 2 and a half stars hotel.. The cleanliness of the bed linen and the towels were by far totally absent, broken curtains, very old furniture, the room was very dark. I would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Decided to return for Christmas to New Year for a change, weather is good and all as it is in summer so is a success. Air conditioning acts as heater in case it does get cold.Christmas and New Year meals are at reduced rates for residents. All told a good choice for the holidays

I stayed here over Christmas and the New Year a few years ago and it was absolutely fantastic. On reception there was an extremely pleasant, polite and friendly English girl for whom nothing was too much trouble. The Head Waiter was either Spanish or Italian with a great sense of humour and politeness.

I returned two years later and what a difference. The staff from my previous visit had left and had been replaced by dreadful staff, especially the young man on reception who was an Australian tourist working his way around Europe. I was put in a room at the rear of the hotel which was completely run down and looked like something from a hostel for the homeless. I complained at reception and the hotel manager was off duty. The Australian screamed a tirade of abuse at me in front of other guests. At breakfast time it was self service and if you were further back than half way in the queue there was very little food left and the staff would not provide any more. Many of the English guests were old men in cloth caps who during the daytime sat on the benches opposite the hotel and at night sat in the bar drinking pints of beer. There was no way of holding a conversation with them as they had little or no intelligence. The Head Waiter was local and may have been Ok as just a waiter but a Head Waiter he was not. The remainder of the staff were simply rude. I was only too pleased to leave and fly back home when I e-mailed a report to the local tourist Authority but other than an acknowledgement I heard nothing from anyone. I love Malta and may return in late August/early September but I shall give the Kennedy Nova a very wide berth.
