I spent two days doing photography and the hotel is perfectly situated for that.
It was great to be out taking photos of the milky way until 00h30 and then just walk back a few meters to the hotel.
I enjoyed the earthy feel of the room and the smell of wood. The view on the Matterhorn was excellent and I could take sunrise photos through the window.
I was very happy to be able to select freshly made bacon and eggs for breakfast. The food at dinner time was excellent. Service from all was good, but Alex was exceptionally attentive and genuinely friendly.

Our stay lasted 4 days and was truly unforgettable. We can only recommend this hotel.
The staff was very helpful, the room was beautiful and spacious, the hotel was in a great location in the middle of the slopes.
There is also a private spa available for one hour a day.

Room Tip: We chose larger double room. This was nice to have extra space and balcony.

This nice little boutique hotel is just amazing, located in a stunning environment high up in the mountains without any cars.
All the staff is extremely nice and helpful and the involvement of the owner family makes all the difference. Breakfast buffet is just a real treat!
I just love this place

We are guests in this hotel since 4 years now, always in one of the family suites. Perfect service, very friendly, top location a few meters from the ski slopes. We can recommend this hotel without any restriction.

La Cabane is a very warm and friendly establishment. The staff are more than willing to be of help. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. They are also very quiet. The breakfast was also very nice and full of choice.

We spent two nights with our 3 kids (5-year-old twins and 2-year old little sister) and had a great time at La Cabane. Someone picked us up at the Bettmeralp station (otherwise it's a 15-20mn walk to the hotel) and we arrived in a charming, cosy, and clean hotel. We had a maisonnette-suite, with a very large bathroom and bedroom (including table, bench and fruit basket) and the kids had their beds on a mezzanine. The balcony and lounge chair were nice to sit in the afternoon sun! Breakfast was great, the family that runs the hotel is very nice and welcoming. This is definitely an address I recommand... And believe me, we're picky!

The hotel is at the top end of Bettmeralp, but fortunately if you phone them in advance they collect you from the cable car station and drive you up along the main street. That's a nice way to arrive - especially as the guests in the other hotels had to walk.

La Cabane is basically your typical good-quality mountain style small hotel. It seemed to be run by a gaggle of ever-changing young girls (which is fine by me). The hotel has a sauna which can be booked for private sessions. I was intrigued, but after walking around the Aeletschgletscher all day I was too tired to investigate this possibility.

Breakfast was good, with the usual choice of Bechermuesli, Gipfeli, meats and cheeses. Someting I liked was having a table assigned with the room, which meant it was easy to get started each morning.

Our room was pretty large, with a sitting area at the far end. One of the ski chair-lifts was just outside the window, but when we were there (early October) that wasn't operating. I wonder if this might be noisy in winter?

Our main complaints with the hotel are 1: the bed really squeaked at even the slightest movement and 2: the room was way too warm. Even after opening the windows the heat was far too much. Consequently, neither of us slept well at all for the three nights. If it wasn't for these two points we'd recommend staying in La Cabane, but as it is we'll be looking for a different hotel next time we're in Bettmeralp.

Everything at this Hotel is wonderful. It's small, well appointed, very clean, top rate. The breakfast is wonderful as well. My husband and I were really looking forward to a wonderful night's sleep. It's so quiet in Bettmeralp. Unfortunately, our room was situated right next to a sport hotel with a bar. And boy, was it noisy. At about 12am we politely asked the revelers to please move. Which they did. But at 2am, we had to do it again. Between the music and the loud talking, we really struggled to sleep. When we told the proprietor that morning at breakfast, there wasn't much reaction except to say, "We know it's a problem". So all I'm saying is that before you book a room, ask where the room is situated.

A super hotel. We stayed as a base for the Aletsch half marathon, nothing was too much trouble and they were very friendly with our family. Will definitely go back. The hotel looks to be super for the winter as well. Watch out how you get to the village you have to take a cable car from Betten Talstation. Don't try to drive up. You can only go so far, but not all Sat Navs know that.
