Like our surrounding natural environment, your stay in our hotel will also be exceptional. Small and exquisite is how you would describe our typical Valais timber house. This gem offers you a comforting warm atmosphere of relaxation and enjoyment. Our enthusiasm for attention to detail is apparent in both in our natural decor and our manner of hosting.

I went on a solo trip to hike in the Lötschental and chose this hotel, notably because it is located in front of a Postauto stop (read coach, the only form of public transportation in the valley, one you need if you don't want to have to go back to your starting point when you hike). Overall it was a nice pick, and I will certainly select the same one next time I'll be there. In more details, I was welcomed by one of the two sisters who own the hotel. I was escorted to my room.
In a true chalet style, all is in wood. But it was obviously renovated lately so all the modern amenities were available. The view gives on the surrounding mountains, and of course, the air is very pure. Perfect!
A Swiss breakfast was served the morning after in the breakfast room.
Overall a nice short stay.

We had seen that this hotel was being renovated when walking in the valley during the pandemic. When walking nearby we met and chatted to a lovely older lady whose family it belongs to and resolved to come back. Everything about the hotel was perfect in out estimation; a warm welcome to a traditional but sympathetically modernised interior. It seemed popular with the locals as much as for us visitors. Food and wine in the restaurant were delicious, rooms comfortable and well appointed. Oh, and free pass for the PostBus for the duration of our stay! Good to know for the next time; hopefully soon!

Unfourtunatly we stayed only one night in this charming, typical Swiss hotel, run by the same family since 1933. The owners are pleasant and were helpfull with all our needs. They organized gluten free breakfast for my father.
The surroundings are compleetly quit at night, and you can hear only the river.. Excellent sleeping conditions.
Rooms are simple and quite small, but very clean and comfortable. Exactly what we needed at the end of a long day. Only, take in consideration, that there is no elevator. Also, the toilette and shower, built in, is very small.
The hotel is at the entrance of the beautiful historic village Blatten, about 5 minutes by foot from the center of the village.
The hotel restaurant where we had dinner, was also very good.

Wonderful stay in the small mountain hotel in the beautiful Lötschental, which is run with great care and commitment, with the Lötschental menu as the highlight! We would love to come back, also because of the small but fine wine list with some interesting discoveries - the Leuk sun also shines in the Lötschental!
