We stayed overnight after a long hiking day across la Bovine area. We were well welcomed and had a nice 6 bed dormitory with enough space fromour backpacks and luggage. The dining was very well decorated and we have a nive evening with a great group of hikers from around the world!

This was a wonderfully peaceful spot on the TMB with excellent food, clean dorms, and amazing views. If you're hiking there, just know it's about an hour walking from Champex and can be difficult to find as the trail there has no signage to indicate you're on the right path towards Relais. Pros: - I arrived early to Relais d'Arpette...

We had a night during TMB trek. The place was very clean. I paid extra for comfort dorms, we had toilets and bathroom on the floor which is much more comfortable. This was among the best refuges we stayed in during TMB.

This place is interesting. The showers were down in the boot room where everything was SO wet there is no way clothes and such would have dried even though they had hangers for you to hang your things up. I brought my wet clothes up to the room with me so they had a chance of drying. There was no...

This is a great stop on the TMB before heading up into one of the most difficult sections of the TMB. The restaurant is popular with the locals. There could be 100 beds squeezed into the dorms at peak times. Much better to visit when it is not full. Being Switzerland, be careful with ordering alcohol as it is expensive....

We have done the TMB twice in the last ten years, both times we have walked over the Fenetre d'Arpette variant which we regard as a highlight of the Tour. Both times we stayed at this hotel; it is positioned on the track 30 minutes beyond Champex and is very comfortable and well appointed. If you are doing the Fenetre...

I was hiking the tour and pre-booked this place because I heard good things. My friends that I was hiking with stayed in Champex. First, directions to this place are non existent or wrong. I followed what they had posted and went 2 hours on a DANGEROUS steep variant trying to find it. I was doing 1500ft gain in an...

Relais d'Arpette is in a stunning location, 1600m, just above Champex Lac. My wife and I ended up here after 'day 2' of our Chamonix - Zermatt trek, after a relentless day of rain, fog and wind (August!). The rain stopped just long enough for us to put up our tent and to have a shower - hot steaming showers...

This b&b was part of a hiking tour, so when you are active 7 hours a day, then the energy from the breakfast is more useful than on relaxing holidays. Here the breakfast was chocking poor. - cheapest white bread - little choise of marmelade - butter - cornflakes - youghurt - milk - a choise of coffee variants from...

After the long wood down from the fenetre, the sight of people having a beer in the courtyard was irresistible. The young staff were great (from Spain and France) and we settled into some well earned thirst quenchers while admiring the afternoon views of the mountains. The place is clean and relaxed and the food simple but good. I laughed...
