We stayed for a night as a family of four (1 yr old & 3 yr old) and had the most wonderful stay. From meeting the lambs on our arrival to the beautiful room we stayed in, Kirsty and Luke couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome. There was a small bed and a cot made up with...

It was a pleasure having you all stay and arriving just as we had delivered a set of twin lambs meant you got to meet us (and all the animals) from the moment you arrived! When you travel with little ones, room in the car is always at a premium so if we can provide things that make packing a...

From the moment we arrived, Kirsty made myself, family and my little girl (3) feel completely welcome. Delicious afternoon tea cakes to greet us on arrival and the prospect of playing with the newly born lambs made my little girl so excited to be staying here. This in turn made our stay so much more enjoyable. Following a stroll around...

The sheep, lambs and chickens certainly enjoyed your stay too! And after all the wonderful help with the animals we are pleased you slept well and enjoyed your afternoon tea and...

We are all really delighted that you enjoyed your stay in our Lodge and were particularly pleased that the triplet lambs were born just before your departure. Thanks for the recommendation too and may the rest of your trip be enjoyable.

We've stayed at Elmfield 3 times now (so far!) and each time it's been wonderful! Lovely rooms with gorgeous views, big bathrooms and super comfy beds. The hosts (including their 9 year old son!) could not be more friendly and welcoming, and can always offer advice for daytime activities and places to eat in the area. Huge choice for breakfast...

It was great to welcome you all back to Elmfield House including your beautiful two year old. We are delighted that you continue to enjoy your stays with us. Kirsty made us feel as if nothing was too much trouble. She really was kind and thoughtful. But she gave us our space and privacy too. Having homemade cake left for us when we got back every afternoon was a treat. A lovely place to stay - and the sheep are a hoot.

Just had an overnight stay at Elmfield House with two girlfriends. Kristie welcomed us with freshly brewed coffee and a choice of cake which we ate snuggled in front of the wood burner. Our rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious and lovely and warm. Signposted by Kirstie we walked the Leyburn shawl on Saturday afternoon and to Easby Abby in...

We are so pleased you and your friends enjoyed your stay with us. There are lots of lovely walks nearby (whether you are looking for a gentle stroll or something more challenging)! And after exploring the local countryside you all deserved coffee and extra cake in front of the wood-burning stove!Thank you for taking the time to review us and...

First visit to Yorkshire as a family, one night only, to visit friends in nearby Patrick Brompton. We chose Elmfield house after an internet search and after a quick email exchange with Kirsty, the owner. As we have a young family we were after a family room. Kirsty advised us this would not be a problem as they could set...

It was a real pleasure having you to stay and we are delighted you had such a nice time. We always love coming back to enjoy tea, hot chocolate and cake when we have been exploring in the woods, especially in the winter months! Something about the fresh air makes them taste even better! Definitely worth checking out if you wish to stay in the area and are looking for a comfortable B & B. Though the weather was cold, we were pleased the rooms were nice and warm, as indeed was the welcome! Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were excellent.

We are so delighted you enjoyed your stay. We are pleased you enjoyed a warm welcome and stay. I must admit the large wood burning stove in the conservatory helps! There is something very cosy about sitting by the fire on a cold day! Thank for taking the time to review us.

We visited here back in August as a delayed 25th wedding anniversary weekend away....delayed due to us having to postpone our original weekend here at the last minute due to my husbands work commitments. When speaking to Kirsty on the phone I realised then she was very friendly, most pleasant and very understanding when I had to rearrange our weekend....
