The Strawberry Bank is located just outside the village centre of Meriden. Meriden is renowned as the Centre of England; putting the Mid in the Midlands! After a long, interesting drive down I pulled up at the Strawberry Bank and checked in. Very friendly reception. I was asked if I wanted breakfast included for an extra £5 a day! Given...

Stayed here for a night whilst working at the NEC - only 10 minutes by car, even at rush hour. Hotel was very easy to find, well signposted from the road and a lovely large car park. Lady on check in was very friendly and helpful, found out what was available at breakfast (I'm gluten intolerant) and booked the special...

Stayed here in a twin room 8th October. The staff are very helpful receptionist great. We stayed in a twin room. The room was clean. I felt the bed was way to hard. The room was next door to the stairs so heard everyone come in and out! I could find no hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was good....

Stayed in a twin, one night, with my daughter while attending 2 day event at NEC. Receptionists very helpful and welcoming. Room was large and everything very clean; good shower with loads of hot water; warm comfortable beds. Niggles: extractor fan seemed not to work at all but did eventually come on as we were leaving! Door latch on wardrobe...

After having stayed at the SB on several trips, I think this will probably be the last. It has great potential and could be asking far higher prices for a room if they got their act together but alas, the staff look and act as tired as the hotel. To stay over a weekend is a nightmare as the rooms...

I stayed here from September 21-25 as I was attending a conference at the nearby NEC. In terms of location, the Strawberry Bank is situated only ten minutes away from the convention centre, making it a very convenient hotel indeed -- being located in Meriden means you can skip paying extra for being closer to the centre of Birmingham. The...
