Really great meal today at the Four Horseshoes. The staff were lovely and on arrival we were quickly settled at our table and our order taken.  The carvery was superb and hats off to the chef as the roast beef was cooked perfectly.  A huge choice of deserts however on balance I think the sticky toffee pudding won with our...

We've recently moved to this area and are so pleased this pub is our local! Food full of flavour and served by very friendly courteous staff as well as a comfy bar area. The whole place is full of character and charm. Tom has made us very welcome and we will certainly be regular visitors to Four Horseshoes.

Lovely meals. Especially the Sunday carvery, but you must book for Sunday as they get so busy. The fish and chips are big. Liver and bacon was enjoyed. They are a hotel as well. Didnt stay as we are local but rooms look good from outside !

Decided to meet up for a family lunch here which was mediocre to say the least, the first two beers ordered were not very pleasant, so we ordered two more of a different variety, we were unable to drink these so ended up with cider which was ok. The food was reasonable but nothing to give it a wow factor...

The carvery was excellent yesterday. We had a fabulous meal. Compliments to the chef and the staff were all lovely. This is definitely my favourite restaurant for food and for the place itself. I have been several times as live not too far away and the food has always been excellent. The menu is very good with lots of choice.

Superb service, ambience, food. Highly recommend to all, but please make sure you book as you could be disappointed if you can't get in. A very mixed menu so something for everyone and the option of smaller portions is brilliant. Staff are polite and really 'on the ball'. Not expensive for the quality you get. Portions are big and well...

Our walking group stopped at the Four Horseshoes for a pub meal - Sarah and Jay were really helpful and attentive, the food was great too. We would certainly go back and would recommend it. A great traditional English pub!

This is a lovely country pub and the staff were excellent, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The food was good but oh how I wish pubs would not produce steak and ale pie with 50p worth of tasteless Puff pastry this is not a pie. The food was tasty but for two pie dinners and two starters plus a...

Suggest you book as gets busy not that being busy affects experience as well organised.... Carvery are called up by table so not to overcrowd

Had not been to the Four Horseshoes lately so thought we would go and eat on a Friday night. We reserved a table and on arrival was promptly shown to our tables with drink being served soon afterwards. Food very good and a decent menu reasonably priced. Will most certainly return.
