Just returned from a two night stay, overall the stay was pleasant, good food, good and hospitable staff, nice chilled out environment. Rooms quiet basic but clean , unfortunately a lot of noise from room above, squeaking floor and poor soundproofing. Overall a enjoyable stay and one that I would do again.

This is a delightful and secluded Best Western hotel in an isolated country setting. Part of the trip was to go to the Birds pf Prey but unfortunately it was closed on Tuesday so I did the Railway Museum instead. Stayed in room 214 which is on the first floor. The bed was a little small and not the most...

Just travelling home from two nights here. Used a voucher deal so was only £79 which is fab! Also included tickets to the Birds of Prey centre, housed within the grounds; (see separate review), so a great deal overall. At the hotel, the room was a double standard which was a little dated but clean. The bed was firm but...

Just an average hotel this one and it wasn't for me. Good building on the outside and well maintained grounds but once inside it was like stepping back in to a 70's hotel. Room 326 originally for two nights but cut it short and left after the first! Room set up for disabled use which actually made it feel like...

We stayed at this hotel for our anniversary. There was a card left in our room which was a lovely touch. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the hotel by choice both nights. Congratulations to head chef Barry and his team. The food was absolutely excellent. I have coeliac disease and the gluten free options were plenty. Great breakfast...

My wife and I took our grandson for two nights so we could visit the Birds of Prey centre again. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and welcoming. The restaurant manager was especially kind to our grandson, teasing him about his cap, and showing him how best to enjoy his Hunter's chicken. The double room and ensuite were adequate,...

My Husband and I chose York to take our relative for a weekend break. We booked B&B rate. The rooms were dated and tired, we booked two rooms and had they both had issues with the shower and bathroom basin. The restaurant and the portions were generous and hearty. What I found really upsetting, I asked the receptionist for an...
