I visited this family run Inn with three friends. It is in a tranquil, rural area, with wonderful views over the dales from most rooms. Our room was clean and had a newly refurbished bathroom; although it had no natural daylight, the mirror was large and permanently well illuminated. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding crisp and spotlessly...

Had a great long-weekend here with a group of 15 friends last October. Lovely hotel, fantastic countryside to walk or tour, excellent food and very helpful staff. Couldn't have been better, in fact it was so good I'm bringing a group of people here in July to celebrate my birthday. Will update you after the event.

Lovely Inn in tranquil setting apart from the sound of sheep! Extremely comfortable bed (Ascot room in Stable block). Amazing value Travelzoo deal. Simple menu, cooked well using local produce as far as possible. Attentive and friendly staff.

Stayed recently at the Inn with my wife. Location of the hotel is superb (if you like being away from everything). Room was ok, but would have preferred with a bath. Had an evening meal on the first night which was not entirely to our taste. Breakfast was good, but lacked any fresh fruit. Also lacked a little atmosphere, but...

Stayed for a couple of nights on a travelzoo deal which included evening meal and prosecco on arrival. I do think that when you book these deals you get the lower quality rooms. We stayed in a room where the wallpaper was hanging from the roof and the bathroom needed updating. However the inn was in a lovely location and...

Set in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire moors off the beaten track. Stunning scenery and away from the crowds. Stayed using one of the current offers but this in no way reduced the food choice or room choice. The food is excellent, and priced about average for the quality. Stayed in the Stable block which is situated across the...

Stayed for 4 nights arriving on Bank holiday Monday. On checking in, told the room we had booked was not available. We were offered a room which overlooked some sheds and the car park. Spoke to a member of staff and said we were not happy to stay in this room. She said she would speak to the management. Manager...
