Stopped off on various occasions in the bar for a bowl of soup and drinks on the way back home from a day in the near-by hills. Always have a good selection of snacks on the bar menu, served by helpful staff. Bar area has...More
By far the most best food, service, and accommodations we enjoyed during a nine-day trek along Scotland's West Highland Way. Rooms modern and pleasant, larger than most, with excellent mattresses, modern bathrooms, and thermostatically controlled heat. Reliable wifi in the bar (but not in the...More

The coffee and cakes are great and not the usual tourist prices. The quality of the place is good and well worth visiting when in the area, whether for the walking or just as a stop in when passing. The staff were good and welcoming

You could walk a small section of the west highland way? Cross over the River Orchy via the bridge behind the hotel and follow the sign posts up over the hill. Its a little hilly but once over the top the views are fantastic over Loch Tulla. You can choose how far you want to walk along the route before turning around and then following the path back to the hotel. Hope this helps. Gary
