Called the other day we had not been for a few months so we were really surprised to find they had altered it around but what a wonderful transformation. The menu was great and very interesting. The food was excellent and the puds Devine will be back with friends really enjoyed our lunch out keep up the good work.

Called in, as haven't been for a decade or so - and hasn't it changed, for the better. The front bar has been converted into a function/dining room and conversely the former awkwardly laid out function room has been turned into a modern bar. Attentive and friendly staff. Lovely to drop by and see it so busy. Well done.

Recently visited the hotel for an evening meal. There were four of us in the party. The food was fantastic and the hospitality was top notch. We ended staying longer than we meant to after we had eaten as the atmosphere was really good. I look forward to going back at the end of the month for my birthday.

Due to local flooding two of my routes to this hotel were impassable. I rang and spoke to James on reception who was so helpful in giving my colleague and I directions to hotel and being available if we got lost. When we got there he was extremely welcoming and glad to see us. He was on the bar as...

Popped in for morning coffee to then book a birthday lunch fo 10 people. The smell was so bad on entering . The staff were in the court yard smoking. We had heard from friends the food was excellent . The place was a disappointment . Spoke to Stuart and he said they needed to address the smoking area. I...

Hello, it’s very rare that we get a poor review and a shame that it’s on smoking rather than any of our services. We do allow any staff that choose to smoke, cigarette breaks throughout the day and since your first visit, this was restricted to away from the building and out of sight with a memo sent to the...

Fabulous place. Room and restaurant decorated and presented beautifully. Food delicious with nice sized portions. Loved the pool in a 'shed' in the garden although on the cool side. Unfortunately, our room was over an area where we think breakfast may have been prepared as it was pretty noisy in the morning even with earplugs. Would definitely stay again but...

We recently visited for an evening meal, but did not stay overnight at the hotel. We were a large party, the owners were very accommodating of our menu choices, and the food on the evening was delicious, good portions and very reasonable price. There is a nice seating/sofa area to wait until the table was ready. A very enjoyable evening.

Met friends for weekday lunch. Newish owners and trade is roaring, I can see why. Lovely entrance hall with seating leading to open plan bar and dining. Steps lead to a cosy seating area with leather sofas and further again to a dining conservatory. Paper menus a bit grease stained but hey ho... Food is superb and beautifully presented. A...

We have often been to this hotel but not with the present owners. The place is greatly different but for the better with a large bar area and a quieter snug for those needing a bit more peace. The best rooms are numbered 11 to 16 and all have got the facilities you'd expect coupled with great attention given by...

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday following a local recommendation and was really pleased we had. The board outside seemed to indicate that lunch orders would stop at 1.30, but this was far from the case. They were busy at the time and were apologetic that if we did order we would have to wait around half an hour, but...
