Visiting Le Manoir aux quat'saison has been on my agenda for the past 30 years and we were lucky enough to fulfil that dream yesterday as we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with 2 very dear friends. The entire experience was absolutely sublime. The food was outstanding (we had the 7 course tasting menu) the service was totally unobtrusive...

Just returned from the 'Spring Dinner Party' one day cookery course at Le Manoir. I couldn't have asked for more. It was a superb day from start to finish. Our chef, Mike was knowledgeable, entertaining, interesting and a fantastic chef. The recipe choices were fantastic - although my husband told me I stunk of garlic afterwards. All the helpers were...

Given all the wonderful comments I did wonder if our experience would live up to the high expectations we had before we visited.....I need not have worried ! The entire experience from the moment you stop your car outside the front door until you check out (although that part can be a little frightening !! ;-)) was incredible. The service...

Words will not do justice to this hotel. Everything is out of the world! The venue is quaint and full of character. The building and grounds are kept to an incredibly high standard. Attention to detail is granular. So many little touches that make a positive impact. The team is efficient, polite, affable, warm, helpful and professional. The team is...

If you love food and have the money, this is somewhere you must go. Our 35th wedding anniversary fell on a Monday, so we booked a two night stay to start on our anniversary, as it happens prices are at their cheapest at this time in the week. The level of service is wonderful and our room was amazing. We...

At these stratospheric prices you wouldn't book a stay at this hotel if you weren't coming for dinner. Booking a night's stay is the easiest way to guarantee a table at less than three months notice, the price of a night's stay depends on what kind of room you have and what day of the week you are booking (Saturday...

Stayed with my partner for her birthday. Reception on arrival wonderful experience. Rooms are fantastic. Had the tasting menu which was stunning, Although when we had the pigeon my partner chased hers with a fork all over the table, very funny to watch. Brilliant place to stay and eat.

I first visited Le Manoir as a surprise treat for a milestone birthday. We had dinner and an overnight stay which was so special for so many reasons, not least for the fact that every member of staff wished me a, "happy birthday, madam". I couldn't have asked for a better birthday surprise - world class food in idyllic surroundings....

This is undoubtedly a superb hotel in terms of cuisine and service. Its location is picturesque and the gardens a marvel to behold. There is an army of gardeners who seem to enjoy creating beauty everywhere one looks. The staff in all aspects of service are both welcoming and efficient and one begins to feel at home almost immediately. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Created by celebrated chef Raymond Blanc OBE, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is renowned for offering one of Britain's finest gastronomic experiences. Situated in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Great Milton, it is also one of the country's most intimate and original hotels, with 32 individually designed guest rooms and suites. The hotel received two Michelin stars in 1984, the first year of its opening, and, remarkably, has held them ever since. Surrounded by lawns, flower borders and orchards, the luxury hotel enjoys an idyllic, typically English setting. But beyond the eye-catching displays are vegetable and herb gardens that provide the kitchen-and the acclaimed Raymond Blanc Cookery School-with ultra-fresh, organic produce, ensuring the Michelin-star restaurant remains at the cutting edge of culinary excellence. ... more   less
