Arrived after dark, easily done in November, and spent the next 20 minutes looking for reception in order to check in. The signage is pathetic. Ended up in the old Hall, to be told to go to the new building, which we hadn't been able to find. Eventually located it and checked in. Our room was OK in size and...

Not sure of what to expect, out of the way location, lovely view of the lake. Large site with two receptions. Hotel/ Walton Hall. Of cause I went to the wrong one. However soon found the hall and then my room. Room was in the hall, double hight ceiling, large bed and super bathroom, large bath and shower. Function meal...

The hotel itself is placed in the most idilic countryside setting, which would leave most people, including myself in awe of the grounds. However, like most of these hotels, it is slightly dated. The rooms are, of a nice size and more than adequate, with the obvious flaws of ALL hotels that the WiFI and Phone reception is almost non-existent....

Having been here in August we noticed a great improvement all round. The Staff were more helpful and friendly . The evening meal in the restaurant was very good. The room was warm and comfortable , the only problem was a slow draining basin in the bathroom which was reported. Much improved!

The whole day was taken care of by Zsolt and his team,...

Arrived to lovely reception staff very welcoming. However dinner in the Orangery restaurant did not prove so good... The Prawn Cocktail starter was very small - not really a cocktail at all - our 8yr old grand daughter would have complained at the minuscule size! We did, but the waitress was fairly disinterested and although she said she would tell...

Enjoyed a lovely quiet weekend at this lovely hotel. The staff were very courteous & helpful. The food was excellent. One night we ate in the old hall, because an office party was on & with the gorgeous chandeliers helping to set a romantic mood, we were really spoilt by the attentive staff. All combined to create a very nice...

This was my third visit to Walton hall. This in itself will tell you that I love the place in many ways. When you read this review, you may wonder why i've scored it as high as 4. The reason being is that, despite its many imperfections, there is something that draws you back. The setting, main hall, general accommodation...

We arrived at the hotel to be met by a very nice girl on reception. I had emailed in advance to ask for a quiet location but not too far from reception as I have recently had a foot operation. I am delighted to say that this is exactly what we got. The room was good, nice and warm. I...
