It is a great shame as the food on the whole was good however on both times I have been there lately there has been a mix up with orders. On one the birthday girls meal order was forgotten and she had to wait while they cooked one. Everyone else had finished by the time she got hers and the...

One night stay was one to remember. Staff were so nice and helpful. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast. Food was plentiful and delicious. Dog friendly bar was great fun for Rufus as all six of us enjoyed our evening meal. If you are looking for a stop over to North Devon then this is the place. YOU WILL NOT...

We arrived slightly before our check in time, we were told the room was ready and we could check in. The room was satisfactory and had good facilities. The only problem we had with the room was it overlooked an ally way with a very loud extractor fan outside which was hard to sleep through. The food was above standards...

Booked a one night stay as I was working in the area. A very old building with loads of character. Room was a bit of a trek up stairs and few more stairs but added to charm, helped walk off the cooked breakfast in the morning. A very comfortable stay. Lovely room and very clean. Staff were all so friendly...

Lovely pub great room not sure I liked the steps down to bathroom good shower and large bath, water very hot, sandwich lunch more like doorstep but really lovely, dinner good, first breakfast good. Second day breakfast plate could of been warm as bake beans were nearly cold so a little disappointed. Very welcoming, beer very good and really reasonable....

We stayed for three nights whilst visiting friends in Wiveliscombe, having only over popped in before for morning coffee. We were pleasantly surprised, but having read the reviews before booking, knew what we were letting ourselves in for. We actually had a really lovely time. The room was quite spacious and clean with a good sized bed. The radiator in...

Looking for somewhere to stay en route to Cornwall from Wales on-line, we came across this characterful hotel. It offered us reasonably priced overnight accommodation with a restaurant on the premises. Turned out to be a good choice and we were pleased with the standard of comfort, cleanliness and food provided.

My partner and I stayed there for one night and whilst it was generally ok there were a few issues which took the shine off it. The room was clean and adequate with a comfortable king-sized double bed although there was no way of locking the door from the inside nor was there a lock on the bathroom door. There...

Our room in this coaching inn hotel was lovely in terms of decor and comfort. The bathroom was not perfectly clean and I was greeted with a previous residents ball of hair when I entered the shower. A tad disturbing I have to admit but other than that the room was lovely. Breakfast was glorious and the staff were friendly...
