Spent two nights here recently. Hotel is large, beautiful grounds that extend to the beach and immaculately kept - inside and out. We were given a room upgrade meaning we had lots of space and all mod cons to hand. Great TV and coffee maker and the shower was brilliant. The bed was huge and the windows opened wide to let the sea breeze in by night. The place is very quiet by night too facilitating a good night's sleep. No member of staff could have been any more helpful and we had daily swims, dips in the outdoor hot tub and even played tennis in the on-site courts. The hotel has a few lovely communal seating areas one of which doubles as a library - it's a nice quiet spot to sit in the evening and people watch. My one tiny gripe was breakfast: porridge is made to order but only with water; our request to have our porridge made with milk could not be accommodated. I thought it strange for such a simple request when nothing else was a problem. Otherwise breakfast was perfect with a great selection of absolutely everything. I'd return and recommend.

Staring 4 stars for hotel, you end up in a hotel that smells bad the first minute you come in... Secondly the food is not worth the money you can get McDonald's happy meal bigger then the dinner for 14e. Adding in random pictures of the coasts of other beeches make it look like oh yeah looks lovely, you get there to walk around hotel in 5minutes with the grass not even cut around the walkways... The bar had no music at all, except elderly people singing themselves the whole night... It's not a romantic get away from couples at all... The breakfast was muffins from dunnes and hot food deli in any Centra... I don't think they know what four stars should mean and how to make the hotel actually worth while visiting. Not to say we left early and we got questioned what was wrong with it. It's understandable if you are 70+ it will be good experience for you, as 99% of the guests where that age... But when you pay 300+ for two nights and the bathroom is dirty when you arrive and telly isn't working it's disappointing to say the least as there is nothing else to do... With the area that they have this hotel has so much more potential than just taking in the locals for a pint... We wouldn't be returning ever again, and not recommending it to other couples that want a night away... Sadly there is no reviews to warn people that's why I'm writing such detailed one, so couples don't get fooled like we did.

What a beautiful hotel. Quite classic and almost majestic with great entrance and foyer. I managed also to get a room that was huge and with an outstanding view thanks to a big window that gives straight over the sea. It has a quite decent continental and international breakfast.

We stayed here for three nights. The hotel has wonderful views and is impeccably clean. I did have difficulty getting my luggage to my room 'up the grand staircase' as the young man at reception suggested. I'm a woman of a certain age and really could have used a bellman or an elevator. I was told that the lift was 'a good way' down the passageway....more like a mile. My room was very nice and I learned to navigate the endless stairs! Overall, no complaints. Great location and more than ample parking.
