I spent a night in the 3 bed cottage with friends. The welcome at the pub was warm and friendly and the meal in the evening was thoroughly enjoyable. The accommodation was fine, but needed some updating. The kitchen required a deep clean and would benefit from some updated utensils (including a new kettle!). The paintwork overall looked like it...

My friend and I stayed here for a week, we booked it as it is doggie friendly. Paula and Mark are brilliant, both very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, compact, but lovely. The food is outstanding, we ate a few nights in the bar area, as dog's are allowed there at night time. Breakfast was good too, grumpy...

The Kings Arms cancelled our overnight stay just 2 hours before we were due to check in. This was due to a power cut which we assumed had only just happened, hence the reason for the extremely short notice but it transpired that they had been without electricity for 3 days beforehand so there was absolutely no excuse for the...

I would like firstly to apologise for the inconvenience caused by our power outage causing Mr Miller and his family not to be able to stay at the King's Arms, and to all of the rooms that we were required to cancel due to this hugely unexpected power failure. I do however, have to offer an alternative account to the...

My husband and I stayed here for one night as part of a leisure break. I had looked at the website thoroughly before visiting and I thought that The King's Arms looked lovely however I was bitterly disappointed with many things. As advised on the website, I called prior to our stay to let them know that we would be...

First, let me say I'd love to give The King's Arms a top rating. Maybe on our next visit, I'll be able to. The essentials are all there; terrific food, a very positive and friendly attitude by both management and staff good heating in our room and lashings of very hot water on two of the coldest days of the...

Great pub with rooms. Only the twin room was left when we booked but it was so lovely and spacious with a lounge as well. The bathroom is small and probably could do with updating at some point but for the price it was amazing. We arrived very early and we were let into our room straight away. The staff...

Booked for my husbands 70 th birthday as a surprise. My 2 daughters and their partners and children joined us. The rooms are lovely. The food is amazing and the staff are so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. There were 6 adults and 3 small children and we had the private dining room. The quality of the food was...

We just spent two nights in the 3 bedroom cottage and we thought it was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and the cottage was perfect. Traveling as a family with 4 kids it was great to have their bedrooms downstairs and ours upstairs. The cottage was warm and cozy, the beds were incredibly comfortable and I have never...

The building is a cosy, charming Grade 2 listed building, which is well maintained and kept spotless. The room was really comfortable, warm and fully of character. The bed was just so comfortable you fell asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow. The staff were all really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. They made...

Just had a three night break here. Very friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Food and atmosphere very good. However, asked for a room without people overhead and got a room with people overhead! Dark grey decor a bit depressing, beds and bedding very comfortable. Lovely and warm room. Could do with a better clean, maybe it's the lighting? Outside loo...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The King's Arms is a cosy country inn nestled deep within the stunning Cotswold countryside. Combining modern comfort with rustic elegance, each of our cottage-style bed and breakfast rooms have their own individual character. Named after the prize-winning hounds from the nearby Beaufort Hunt, each room includes sumptuous features such as king-size four poster beds, ivory sheepskin rugs and luxurious Feather and Black mattresses and duvets which altogether ensure a relaxing and comfortable night's slumber. Two spacious self-catering cottages are ideal for families and larger parties looking for their own private Cotswolds hideaway. Our restaurant is renowned for using the freshest locally sourced produce. Fresh daily specials are handwritten on the restaurant blackboard and are cleverly complimented with an imaginative selection of lighter snacks. ... more   less
