I was so relieved to stay at Jay's Lodge after an earlier disasturous stay in a notoriously bad bed and breakfast in Grays. The room was clean, warm and fresh smelling. Margaret could teach a lot of other bed and breakfast establishments how to run their businesses.

Stayed for one night to attend a wedding nearby, it was clean, warm and comfortable, value for money would definitely recommend. There was small kitchen facilities if needed, we didn't have breakfast but if the room was anything to go by I'm sure it would have been nice.

My family recenlty stayed at Jay's Lodge overnight on a Saturday for a wedding which took place nearby. They were very accomodating in terms of arranging rooms to suit our needs (two adults and a 17 and 5 year old). The room was outstanding. Absolutely spotless. All facilities you could want on offer (kettle, microwave, fridge, sink, shower, cupboards, table,...

Don't hesitate, make a booking. We've just returned from a 2 night's stay at Jay's Lodge where we enjoyed a spacious, immaculate room with many facilities provided right down to the washing up liquid. The beds were comfortable - 2 X GREAT NIGHT'S SLEEP - the price very affordable, topped with a tasty full English breakfast and keeping the best...

Ideal location for anyone attending Orsett Hall or just visiting the surrounding area. Very clean, spacious rooms ( small kitchen area a real bonus), incorporated into a purpose built challet style building including a large separate breakfast room for guests to enjoy the superb breakfast. The perfect B&B and Margaret was a very welcoming host.

We stayed for a couple of nights in October. Everything was good - I stay in Premier Inn a lot for work and this was as good. The microwave and fridge are a great addition if you were working away. All Clean and exactly what is required. Couldn't fault it. Will return as I have friends and relatives locally.

I've stayed here a number of times for work and always found it clean, comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are quite large and functional - no frills and china every where! There was a small fridge, microwave and kitchen sink in each room which meant doing your own thing was easy. Margaret was always kind and happy to talk if...
