Our friends got married here in July, lovely venue. Loads of parking, close ish to main transport links, staff very helpful and the food was lovely. Drinks prices were reasonable too! If you're planning on getting married here you wont be disappointed!

Nice old Lodge.. Nicely decorated for wedding. Food of a good standard. Attended for family wedding. One big negative to report. At a wedding venue, the management should stand out, so you know who to speak to if there is a problem, a mature manager.

Had a wonderful day on Friday for a colleagues wedding who had asked me to give her away. The meal and evening buffet were very good and a good time was had by everyone. However it would have been better if the staff had smiled! They all looked like they were working under duress and most of the guests were...

Booked our Sunday lunch months in advance for father in laws birthday, we hadn't been here for 14 years, so it was a special day. Fantastic venue with lovely surroundings. Service very quick with pleasant waiting staff. Good food very tasty & plentiful. Novel idea of mushrooms with peas, different but delicious. Three courses for £15.95 was a great price...

Stayed one night in June for my birthday. The hotel grounds are stunning and we were lucky to catch some amazing weather. After check in we sat in the garden with drinks overlooking the beautiful landscaping, with the added novelty of watching the alpacas roam free. The rooms are beautiful; lovely, clean linen, huge windows and vintage style furniture. Our...

Stayed here for three nights. Read previous reviews and had mixed feelings about booking but needn't have worried. Room was large, airy and decorated beautifully. Would have been good if a small fridge and luggage stand could have been incorporated but lack of these didn't spoil our stay. Found all the staff very friendly - only had breakfast in the...

Experienced a wonderful meal mid-week for 12 of us. Every meal was superbly cooked and great value for money. The staff could not do enough for us during our stay and we cannot wait to return to this tranquil hotel within beautiful grounds.
