We stayed in what I assume was a standard double, room 311 and while the bedroom is adequate for a short stay, the bathroom is a little cramped and certainly needs an update. The staff were very polite and attentive and we found the food to be excellent, as we are not overly concerned with quantity but do look for...

Booked the hotel for my wife's recent 50th birthday. Stayed two nights in a double delux room. The staff at the hotel could not be faulted. They were very friendly, polite and attentive. The area is fantastic for all kinds of guests and the views spectacular. The stay for two nights cost £500, this included the room for two nights,...

A wonderful location. Attentive staff. Our room was not large but comfortable; linen and towels etc were high quality. Our bathroom however was tired and in need of refurbishment (chipped basin and stained bath). The hotel appears to be aiming at a particular niche market and its cuisine reflects this aim. Unfortunately we found this aspect of the hotel to...

Dropped in to Lugger for a coffee - sat on balcony - great position - two coffees (small cups) £7. Bit peckish so had a ham and a beef sandwich £15.00. We'll an m and s sandwich is far far superior. Ham mass produced crap. Beef grey and looked 'old'. Asked for rare beef!!!!!! Gave it to dog. Two cold...

This was booked as a birthday treat for husband and me. The welcome was exceptional, a wonderful cream tea after being shown to room 101, a deluxe room which was across the slipway, in the old boathouse. The was very spacious, very comfortable king size bed, beautiful bed linen, large bathroom and its own private terrace overlooking the bay. Bathrobes,...

Sadly it just didn't cut the mustard for us, we researched heavily before booking our £478 two day break. We chose a semi expensive deluxe room directly overlooking the cove, but sadly It was not deluxe! The saving grace was a comfortable wide bed. When I walk into a room I want it to impress me. Room 202 is directly over...

After reading the rave reviews of this hotels we had high expectations and the location is stunning, tucked into a tiny cove with the sea on the doorstep and flower covered cliffs on each side. The hotel itself though was not up to the standard we had expected. The room was small, which wasn't a surprise as the accommodation is...

Fantastic location in picturesque Cornish fishing village. Waves come up to the front wall of the hotel. Great patio overlooking the sea. Fishing boats are launched on slipway adjacent to hotel. Lovely room in Boathouse. Note rooms are scattered in several buildings. Main building has cosy bar and restaurant. Food is not cheap but is of excellent quality. Very attentive...

We were a party of six, in 3 superior rooms. Good sized room with a very comfortable good sized bed, with lots of extras, dressing gown, products, tea coffee, fox's mints etc! The shower was brilliant, with an incredible flow! The outstanding thing about the Lugger is the food. It is quite simply delicious! The crab soufflé was sublime, so...

Stayed at this lovely hotel for a couple of nights. It is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. All the staff cannot do enough for you. Our room had a partial sea view and was of a very high standard. We ate here on the first night and the service and food was outstanding, along...
