First time stay for me and maybe not the last. I stayed on a Sunday night and arrived to find the bar and restaurant very busy with families and friends enjoying the food and drinks. The hotel is in a really nice spot on the top of the Heswall ridge overlooking the Dee estuary, a view only possible in the...

Went for a family meal. Very impressed! I have eaten in The Jug and Bottle a couple of years ago and had a good meal. Since my last meal it has been refurbished inside and out to a very good standard. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was well presented and cooked exactly as requested. I had...

Had a lovely meal here - very busy and lively atmosphere but staff and service very prompt and efficient. Food very good, sea bass and steak all very good and the ribs were a very generous portion. Look forward to returning when the weather is nicer and can sit outside on the lovely decking area with nice views! Would definitely...

I had been here for a drink before but this was the first time I have had a meal. One of the reasons we came in because we could take the dog with us and this is an important factor. I had the fish and chips and it was amazing! The batter on the fish was lovely, the mint pea...

We were recommended to stay here whilst we were attending a local blessing and reception. We were not disappointed. It has an open plan bar and a lovely restaurant, with an imposing staircase. We had lunch and sat in the window on a warm day, with views across the water. It was exceptionally busy for a Monday but clear to...

I really like this venue: the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient. Try the liver; it's delicious as is the fish and chips. Prices are reasonable and there's plenty of parking. It's recently been refurbished. Would recommend wholeheartedly

My husband and I went for lunch. I'm gluten free and always find choosing options from a pub menu difficult. However, the staff went out of their way to ensure this wasn't the case. They even ensured that the breadcrumbs were gluten free! Would definitely recommend.

My Husband and I stayed here whilst being in Liverpool for The Grand National. It was our first time staying at The Jug & Bottle so wasn't sure what to expect. We arrived late on the Friday and were lucky to get a parking space. Upon arriving the place was really busy inside and out. We approached the bar probably...

First time staying. Hotel staff were welcoming. Breakfast was great with locally sourced ingredients. Really good value for money would highly recommend staying. Shame I didn't manage to have an evening meal here.
