This motel is a great place to base yourself for some day hikes in the Nelson Lakes area, which is just gorgeous and well worth a visit. It's a short walk to Lake Rotoiti and the visitor centre, which I recommend spending some time at too. The location of the motel is quiet with good privacy overall and the staff...

We stayed here for 2 nights recently, and should have only stayed one at most. At first sight the place was promising - spacious room, clean, recently modern. The reception lady was efficient and friendly. Price was reasonable. However, the two issues were: 1. the wall was very, very thin. We were watching TV at night and then we heard...

Nelson Lakes Motel provides basic necessities such as clean sheets, hot water, cabin heater as well as full kitchen facilities with electric stove, oven, hot water kettle. Amenities also include instant coffee and tea, with electrical hot water kettle. In addition, the rooms had plenty of blankets for extremely cold nights. Make sure if staying at Nelson Lakes Motel that...

This is a basic hotel with a well equipped kitchenette is centrally located in the tiny village of St Arnaud in Nelson Lakes National park . The rooms are clean and well maintained. The small space heater and mattress heater kept the room surprisingly warm on cool summer nights. The shower stream was very weak but the hot water was...

Hosts were lovely nd helpful. We only stayed one night but the two bedroom unit was perfect for what the family needed. Close to the lake via the track. Lots of parking options. There was another family staying in the unit next door and we couldn't hear them.

Booked last minute for a 2 night stay over the holiday weekend. Modern studio for $130 per night. Studio was very clean - kitchen was very good (no oven) but cook top and microwave. Bed was comfortable and nice linen. Didnt hear any noise from unit next down (occupied) nor really from the road. Slightly more than I would generally...

Once again we stayed here for a few nights. And, still the same great service, same well presented units, same friendliness that we have found in the past. 2x thumbs up!! Space available for boat parking as well as a BBQ for guests to use.

We booked this motel as a starting and finishing point for a short tramping trip in the National Park. In the event we had 3 nights here due to very bad weather in the whole region cutting short our trip. The Motel is what I would call a surprise for both its very high quality and the friendliness & helpfulness...
