New rooms and delicious food have made my experience at this hotel one of the best moments of the Italian Holiday. Family management hotel that throws you in one of the Italian movies that everyone has seen in life. The private beach, daily activities, and a huge and beautiful swimming pool will make your stay exceptional. All the staff is super friendly and kind and they will suggest you the best places in the whole district, don't be afraid to ask them for all the necessary info (they all speak fluent English) To me, it was a rediscovery of a vacation in Italy since I live overseas and I couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The Countryside, as in many places around the world, is the true heart of a Nation, just give it a go, and you will find a lovely place where you will be always welcome.…
Disgusting place! Rooms are dirty and mouldy, food is terrible , portions and choice are ridiculously small, you will leave hungry. We sent back cold side dish of potatoes and it was not replaced. When we complained to the waiters they said they they understood what we were saying and were very embarrassed. We asked for a manager but were told to go the front desk but if you do that they are always on the phone and you have to wait a long time. We eventually got to speak to a male manager who said he would ask his manager if they would change our room and he would let us know within half an hour and come to our room to let us know. He also suggested that if we did not have enough food we should have asked for another portion in a very rude manner. He never came to our room so we went to see him and he then just started speaking Italian . I asked him why he was speaking Italian when he spoke good English earlier. He was so so rude and said that if we live in Italy we should speak the language. He then told my wife that perhaps she should moan about the weather also and that they had had no other complaints to which I said to look at trip advisor and there were other complaints. He was so rude and it turned into a big row and he refused to refund our money as we did not want to stay so we packed our bags and left anyway. I should add that this hotel is very far from the tourist areas so you cannot easily go to other restaurants or bars. I would recommend that you do not stay here!…
Beautiful hotel in Matera. Our cave rooms were gorgeous and the service was fabulous it was great value for money and we had the best time. The restaurant was first class, local foods at its best. The spa was amazing and included in the price. Matera was a perfect nativity scene, so pretty!
We stayed here as we have relatives in both Vasto and Sal Salvo, the staff where great, the breakfast was great the facilities was great and the beach access was amazing. We had an ocean view room, the balcony was only large enough to have a coffee but it was perfect for our needs
The room was fine, nice and clean, there was a fridge and the bed was really comfortable. There was a massive terrace with pool view and a glimpse of the sea. The pool was great, easy to enter with a non-slip pavement. Few sunbeds but lots of really nice garden furniture. The beach was about 50 yds from the end of the garden. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to staying there again when we visit Vasto again next year. All of the staff we had contact with were really friendly so my next comment is meant as constructive criticism; when we checked in maybe it would have been helpful a little explanation of the surrounding areas and the public transport. When I did ask later the lady in reception could not have been more helpful and printed out the bus timetable. Breakfast was ok, typical continental breakfast that you get in Italy, nothing exceptional. Wifi was free and worked pretty well.…
I've been there with my family and the place was very pleasent to stay! It is perfect for my parents, my cousins and myself. Hotel Acquario have everything you need and the service was incredible. The family who runs the place are very lovely and helpful. BIG Thanks to Mr. Giorgio for the tips for our road trip! Highly recommended! Thanks guys :)
Spent a week at the hotel following a burglary at our apartment in Campomarino which made it impossible to use. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful even helping us communicate with police and other authorities in regard to our apartment. The manageress could not have done more for us. The hotel was clean and well positioned for access to the beach (cost for access). The swimming pool was large and they ran water aerobic classes. Breakfast was plentiful but more variety would have been good. The overall ambience is one of comfort with staff going out of their way to accommodate guests. A happy time spent which helped soften the blow of the burglary.
I spent here few days in August and the hotel is very comfortable, service is also good. Big plus for me were swimming pool, beach and restaurant (very good quality food well cooked). Our room was not too big but we used just to sleep tehre so it was fine. All in all very good value and quality. Please note the Hotel is a bit far away from the town centre but there are buses connecting to it.
Our time at the Hotel Acquario was excellent. (It is not a 5-star hotel, but it is 5-star for what it is). They have a convenient path to the sandy, warm, clean beach. They have a fabulous pool, that is clean and in great condition. The outdoor bar is friendly and affordable, as is the restaurant. The rooms are small and functional, but you don't come here to lounge in a hotel room. The old town above the ocean is a great visit, which provides wonderful views. You will enjoy this affordable summer retreat.
Six night stay to include attending son's wedding in Vasto. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Only a couple of staff could speak English though. Mostly Italian families but entertainment staff made an effort to make us feel welcome. Lovely sandy beaches. Easy to get bus into Vasto town - which has many attractive historical buildings.
