The owner hosted us at the last minute after my original reservation fell through due to illness. Everything about the stay was fabulous: welcome, hospitality, room, facilities, breakfast. The room was very spacious, with an en-suite with a Jacuzzi bath, a large double bed, nice view over the hills. Would definitely recommend.

Westrow lodge offered us a wonderful large bedroom and bathroom, and a comfortable lounge with tea/ coffee facility. Excellent breakfasts in a delightful dining room with stunning views. We strongly recommend staying here if you visit Orkney.

It was lovely to have you stay in what I think is one of the nicest time of the year. Quiet and peaceful with stunningly beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We are happy that you were able to enjoy this in the comfort of our B & B. Thank you for your review and your recommendation!

Beautiful bedroom and a comforting jacuzzi bath to ourselves in the evening. Sea view and a comfortable landing lounge to share with our friends. Central situation for travelling around Orkney Kathy was a mine of information. I have mixed fruit for breakfast at home and was delighted that it was available here. We loved Westrow Lodge.

We love that you loved Westrow Lodge! The upstairs dedicated lounge is a wonderful place to relax with friends and plan what next to do in Orkney. I am glad I was able to assist with information in making the most of your stay in Orkney. More and more of my guests are looking for alternatives to the typical fry-up...

Our room was amazing; huge, king-size bed, sea view window and a bathroom to order with built in bubbles and coloured lighting. The surrounding area is rural, complete with Aberdeen Angus cows and birds galore. Oh, and not forgetting the ruined croft buildings behind. Very photogenic.

This is the first time in 21 years that I have received not one, but two honeymooning couples! Love was definitely in the air. I am absolutely delighted that both couples decided to spend their special time in Orkney staying at Westrow Lodge! Thank you for your review and your appreciation of your room and the views.

A lovely few days in Westrow Lodge, with very spacious room and bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Close to Stromness and Kirkwall in a quiet location with great views of the Orphir Bay. I definitely recommend.

We loved Westrow, plain and simple. Kathy's killer breakfasts and Keith's uproarious stories were fuel for several days of exploration all around Orkney. Our room was spacious, well appointed, and immaculately clean, and we felt genuinely welcome and comfortable from the first moment to the last. One of the best vacation lodging experiences we've ever had. Highly and enthusiastically recommended.

A friendly welcome and a lovely few days. Our room was spacious, very well equipped and very comfortable. We both enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. The location is pea full but ideal to visit all parts of the Island with Kirkwall and Stromness only 15 minutes or so away. We stayed for 4 nights but wish we had...

I wish I could write a bad review because then I could keep Westrow Lodge and Kathy all to myself, but I was taught to share. Kathy made a trip that could have been awful,(we were leaving our daughter behind in Kirkwall to start unit) into something lovely to remember. The lodge itself is very comfortable and beautiful and Kathy's...

I am glad that I could help make a sad goodbye to your daughter a lovely memory of happy times. It was great meeting you as a family unit and helping you to get things sorted for her. Starting university is an exciting adventure and she is off to a great start. You are always welcome back!

Cathy provided a very friendly welcome and plenty of help and advice. Stayed 3 nights and had a glorious bike ride to Stromness, Skarra Brae, Orkney brewery (great food and drink), ring of Brognar and twilight (6pm) tour of Maeshowe finished of with lovely crab and avocado starter then fish and chips at the Noust bar. Next day we resorted...

Orkney is a wonderfully peaceful biking destination but we also recommend you bring a car too, to get the most of your stay, which you did. We belong to the Visit Orkney "Welcome Cyclists" scheme so have a folder full of maps and ideas of where to go and what to see on your bike. Our central location makes us...
