We travelled with three and five years old kids between 24-28 Jan. Service: We booked three nights on the hotel web site and one night via Expedia because it's not available on 28th at the Rusutsu resort site. I noticed the problem when we check-in: The receptionist told, we have to stay at South wing for three nights then move...

Stayed early February 2017 for 5 enjoyable nights at the Rusutsu Resort. All resort staff were polite, professional and attentive and made a great effort in communicating in English and understanding my limited Japanese to meet our needs. Check-in and check-out was fast and efficient. The resort is perfectly designed for young families with the themed animatronic displays, indoor carousel,...

At first glances when you walk in to the resort you might think it is a little weird with talking trees and the like but during the summer it is a theme park so I can understand the setup. It has ski in/ski out access both north and south wings and the rooms are very nice and very large for...

Great resort, with many facilities, variety choice of restaurants, tasty foods. The French restaurant Belle Vue is a must go. Inexpensive early bird package. Ski slopes good for intermediate and advanced skiers.

We stay in a Triple room; 3@ twin bed and 1 sofa bed at 2/F south wing area, the room is updated with a small bathroom but it is clean and size big enough for 4 of us with 4 luggages. The ski/snowboard rental locate at the end of 2/F at South Wing area. The ticket office is just 10m...

This was a nice place to stay if you have family or want somewhere not as crowded as Niseko. The hotel was nice. It was big and has everything you will need to enjoy your stay there. Rooms are good size. The only problem I had is you couldn't control the temperature/thermostat so I had to keep the sliding glass...

At first, this place appears very tacky, with it's carousel, myriad of bells and whistles, lights, music, but it grows on you. The rooms were somewhat dated, but adequate. Great room size for Japanese hotels. There are a few restaurants, while with tacky decor (alpine), offering surprisingly good food (best pizza and wine this side of Italy). Tons of shops,...

Rusutsu is a very local place and frequented more by japanese than foreigners. So do not expect the kind of service you would expect from an international chain hotel. if you try to check in early, you will be given a token to store your luggage at the gym locker, and asked to come back during check-in time. The onsens...

We visited this resort 5 years ago and had a great time. Unfortunately I cannot say the same this time. It was a dream of mine to bring my children to the resort to experience what we had experienced before. This resort has been rated as number 1 however how can a resort be rated this when there are NO...
