This Motel took advantage of me when I made a simple error booking on BOOKING.COM. I arrived at the hotel an hour later to modify my reservation for that night but they pressured me into reserving through the hotel directly and then refused to refund the reservation I made in error for the following night. They never even tried to re-rent the room for the next night. *They are thieves. Unethical and predatory. Full stop. Do not stay here. Oh - also, there was a hillbilly bonfire going on across the parking lot. It made us feel unsafe.

Probably a 3.5 rating, but the property is well kept, reasonably current decor and our room had obstructed ocean views so it gets some bonus points. We were the only booking, so we took over the large lobby as our de facto living room. Very clean rooms, also a plus, and our room faced away from the highway so it was quiet as well. Request an ocean facing room for those reasons.

My friend and I had a reserved room for Aug 8 to Aug 9. the staffs English is non existent. it was pouring rain and we notified as best we could that we will be a little late. Both times we talked to them a ferry was not mentioned. we pulled up at around 7pm to the end of our gps. only to find out we had missed the last ferry at 6pm. we immediately had a very nice french speaking lady call for us and explain the problem as to why we are unable to keep our reservation. Well I got home to a 225.00 bill that they would not do anything about. We had to drive about 45 min to find a very poor room that also cost another 115.00. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Such poor customer service!!!

Very nice facility and close to the city. Clean and new rooms. Very friendly, helpful and English speaking Staff. Simple but good breakfast. Good located in a commercial area and close to the highway. Just 15 minutes to Quebec old town.

Stopped at Cofotel before heading to Tadoussac the next day. St Simeon is a very small town with just a convenience store and a small number of restaurants. The motel itself was nice, clean and quiet. Good sized bedroom and easy parking on site.

Upon realizing that i had made a mistake with the motel location. The town i was in had the exact same town name that the motel was in (6 hours apart plus you got to take a ferry). I immediately called the establishment. The receptionist bluntly told me to contact my booking intermediate. After explaining to my intermediate she got a hold of them and tried to explain the situation with no luck since no one could speak English. She told me that she sent an Email to management asking to lift the fees. And also asked me to get back in touch within 2-3 days. All of this within 30 minute. 3 days later still no news. I then give them a call. This time i talk to the manager. To my surprise he decided not to lift the charges. 189 $ !!!!! I could go on and on but prefer to stop.......
