Perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy this stunning region of Quebec. Genevieve and Claude were friendly, gracious hosts who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The historic mansion is charming and the outdoor terrace has many comfortable seats to sit for hours and soak up the scenery. Lots of games and sports equipment to keep the kiddos happy as well. And did I mention the freshly baked cookies and muffins?! This motel is fantastique! We can’t wait to come back.

Best hotel in this price range weve stayed in so far in our venture into the gaspesie. Primarily french speaking manager was helpful. Room was newly renovated and comfortable. Location is at the mouth of a river into the saint laurence. An interesting view under a bridge to the saint laurence. Really liked the place. Would stay again.

A bit difficult to find, as our GPS kept indicating "turn left", when actually the hotel was on the right, not visible from the road. We were checked in, given keys, and shown to our room. During our 2 night stay we never again saw another staff person or owner or anyone, other than guests. Our room was very spacious with a nice view out the back, overlooking a sloping grassy area and a babbling section of the river. Room was clean and quite comfortable, furnished with a microwave. Very convenient for getting to the ferry to Riviere du Loup.

Friendly husband and wife running this hotel, very welcoming and flexible - we arrived much too early but we'd let into our room. The room had a partial view onto the St Lawrence. Plenty of space in the room and very clean. We are told not to leave the screen open as there are bugs, but they didn't trouble us at all in late September.

We chose this hotel to spend a night before taking the ferry to New Brunswick. Our GPS led us to another hotel, but we quickly found the right place. The office was locked, but someone quickly came and checked us in. Our room was very large and clean. Beds were comfortable. It was cold and rainy outside, so we just wanted a place to sleep. The next morning we discovered a lovely patio outside with a view of the river. Too bad the weather didn't allow us to use it.

We booked the hotel as part of our road trip through the Charlevoix region. We were greated by the owner as we arrived. He and his wife were very warm and welcoming. They showed us how the prperty is near the water and encouraged us to have coffee on the chairs provided in the morning. The hotel was clean. We really enjpyed our time there and would go back again.

I booked this motel on line. We drove the trans Labrador highway and this was our first night stop. We arrived where our GPS was telling us the motel should be, but could not find the motel. After stopping at another motel and asking directions we found our motel. Coming into reception I was a little worried as the room was freezing! The owner assured us that the room area was warm. Our room was a good size and included a small fridge and a microwave. The Room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom was a nice size. The shower had very good water pressure. The room was well insulated against noise, and as the owner had said it was also very comfortably heated. The bed linen were new. The mattress were not that comfortable. This is why I have given this motel a lower score. Waking up in the morning we were surprised at how pretty the area around the motel is. The motel has a view of the St Lawrence, there is a bridge but this kind of adds to the charm. The owner gave us a history of the motel and then showed us the apartment upstairs. It is beautiful and I would consider coming back to this motel and staying in the apartment. Over all the motel rooms are OK. Good place to stay for an overnight trip. The apartment however look very nice and would be good for a few days visit.

Room Tip: not easy to find. Address says the motel is on highway, but in fact you have to pull off highway...

We stayed in the Charlevoix region for one weekend at the beginning of September for some hiking and sightseeing. We rented the apartment unit offered at the Gentilhommiere. Huge, two floor space, including a kitchen, a living room, three bedrooms and a beautiful view of the Fleuve. The space was very clean and is tastefully finished. Highly recommended if you intend on staying in the Charlevoix region.

Very clean room. Bathroom was small. Difficult to organize toiletries due to lack of counter space. The grounds around the motel are very nice at mouth of river Noire and the St Lawrence river. Good spot to see whales on the rocky point of the river mouth

We pulled into the parking space skeptical with our initial impression . The kind owners showed us to our apartment , which was beyond beautiful ! Everything has been thought of. It was immaculate and tastefully decorated. There is a grocery store down the road and a restaurant as well. The kitchen is well equipped . There is a washer/ dryer as well.
