We booked 3 rooms as part of my mum and dad's Christmas present. From booking through to checking out the staff were fantastic and could not have been more helpful! The hotel is amazing with bags of character and the huge open fire is simply stunning! Food is great and the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.

Agreed numbers for meal after funeral not catered for and staff were not vigilant to this, many not English speaking. Owners when given the chance to rectify played ignorant and itemised a bill down to the last plate of chips - this is a business that my family has frequented for 25 years and no longer will as this day...

Having stayed in the Hotel previously, we were very confident about organised an overnight Family Gathering for 17 people which more than exceeded our high expectations. The welcoming and attentive treatment of all the staff was terrific, the food was outstanding and the ambience and comfort of the Hotel facilities and the bedrooms was everything that we could have wished...

My good lady brought me here on my 40th birthday for an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast and I wouldn't have been happier anywhere else. Driving up the tree lined drive in the snow to its elevated position set the mood for a lovely stay. As soon as you walk in the front door, you step back in time...

To celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday we wanted to ensure that the meal was something special. We dine out quite often as a family and so looked to choose somewhere different. Lands of Loyal fitted that bill as we hadn't been there for several years. As soon as we walked into that magnificent reception room with the huge marble fireplace...

We stayed on Saturday night in a premier double room. Unfortunately the shower did not work properly. We informed the staff and no-one did anything about it. Had to use the hand held shower in the bath. Spoke to the reception again when checking out and they only apologised. We thought it would have been a nice gesture if they...

My husband and I stayed this weekend (with our cocker spaniel Finn). What a wonderful place it was. Very welcoming from the start. Cozy, but grand lounge with fabulous fire. The food is excellent with a great menu and excellent friendly staff.

We stayed two times in November in a Suite with our two well behaved dogs and we enjoyed the two stays so much! Amazing dinner, very good breakfast start in the day, lovely surrounding - what else do we need? Yes, a cocktail in front of the open fire - no problem here and so cosy! We will come back!...

From the moment we arrived on Christmas Eve to the time we had to drag ourselves away from that wonderful fire and comfortable sofas on Boxing day afternoon it was the most perfect way to spend Christmas. The food, the staff, the surroundings all created by the most friendly, caring owner. This was our second Christmas, hopefully many more to...
