We loved this place from the excellent friendly staff to the really well outfitted Ryokan rooms and incredibly clean and well designed Onsen. We booked a standard room but a room with a private Onsen is possible. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of Japanese and Europe

A big concrete hotel by the river without signage outside in English so easy to miss if you are driving there as we did. There is plenty of private parking outside. Check-in is at 4pm and no earlier. We had to wait in the lounge until the appointed hour.

Does anyone know how to reach the hotel? I have sent several emails from the link on the website and I get nothing. I just want to know if we need a tour to see the monkeys or does the hotel provide any transportation? I just want to book anything in advance if I need to. Thanks

The hotel takes you up by a shuttle bus in the morning about 9.30am. Getting back there are scheduled buses, but we walked back to the hotel which took just over 30 mins. (Its a nice walk depending on how much snow there is). It cost 800 y to enter the reserve

What options are available for transport to the ski resort and renting skis?

To make a reservation on the private onsen, am I supposed to call them? I have sent them an email but it's been 3 days and I haven't received any reply. I was wondering if I can reserve it upon checking in. Thank you!

Do any of the rooms have western style beds. The rooms that say they have mat Areas, is there any cushion at all
Hi, Yes room 502 has a western style beds. (Its meant for 5 people, but this is a great room with its own outdoor tub). Check it out
