We had several nights a the St Georges Motor Inn and found it to be a great base from which to explore the city. The number 11 tram runs outside the hotel into the CBD and central shopping areas, and Thornbury's High Street is a short stroll, with plenty of cafes and shops to wander through. The staff were fantastic,...

Very friendly reception when checking in/out. Free Wi-Fi. Plenty of options for in-house dining. High street is located close by with plenty of restaurants. Movie channels x 2 for free. 👍Very neat and clean room and well sized. Decore is dated but not an issue. If you're a light sleeper suggest packing ear plugs as traffic noise is quite loud.

Great location and very reasonable prices. Stayed 2 nights and room was clean and functional. Check was easy and owners were very helpful. Pleasant stay and close to cafes and restaurants. Easy travel to city or close suburbs. On a busy road but traffic noise was not disturbing.

I have stayed at this motel several times and highly recommend it. The tariff is extremely reasonable, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast just what you need after a night out! The dining room is open for breakfast only but there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The bedroom and bathroom are always spotless and...

This motel is ideally situated, out of town but on a tram route that takes you into the city in minutes. We found it to be very quiet with sufficient parking, but the most memorable part of our visit was the polite and attentive reception we received from the owner/manager. We had breakfast in the spacious dining room each day...

We arrived a day late following flight delays and 23 hours of travelling not knowing what to expect. Upon arriving at the Melbourne Southern Cross transportation center we found that the St. Georges Motor Inn was located directly on a tram line that we got less than a block from the terminal. When we got to the hotel we were...

Decent motel, with the standard settings and decor. There was enough space for a small table, which was a nice bonus. Nothing particularly memorable about the place. Easily accommodated late check-ins.
