Not the most convenient location for the ski areas of the Hakuba valley but with free shuttle bus stopping literally at the front door several times a day that wasn't a problem. Also the hotel was very good in using it's own little bus to take you places if you asked. The rooms are more than adequate though as mentioned... More

We stayed here in January 2016. It was our first time to Hakuba so we didn't know our way around and we booked this as a ski package through a travel agent. It was a decent choice considering that it was our first time there, but I'm not exactly itching to go back for two main reasons--the location and the... More

I was passing through hakuba and found this hotel to be a good choice. It was just before summer and as such not many places were open as all closed until winter. Price was reasonable with a bonus of both a buffet breakfast and dinner included (which was good as not a big range open in town). Both were fine.... More

We chose to stay at this hotel because of the attached Onsen and good reviews on TA - big mistake. This hotel is more catered towards Japanese, with separate beds in every room and very hard mattresses. After our first night both myself and my girlfriend had back issues for several days, and we refused to continue or stay after... More

When we first arrived at the hotel, we thought it was rather isolated but upon exploring the area, we found that it was situated halfway between the 2 main parts of Hakuba and easily reached by about a 10 minute walk. The foyer was very inviting with lots of comfy chairs. A shop was attached to the foyer too. The... More

We spent 4 nights in Hotel Hakuba for spring skiing. From Narita Airport to Hakuba my preferred choice by Chuo Taxi around 6 hours. 2 intermission stops before arriving destination. Each break rest for 15 mins. JPY 13,900 per head. Hakuba snow condition still good. Falling snow these few days. The reason we chose this hotel was because of its... More

Mr. Yoshida at Hotel Hakuba was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The Hotel was clean, including onsen and restaurant. Stayed 4 nites and the buffet got a little boring, with repeat items. Overall food was good. Equipment rental shop had older worn equipment. I'd check with other shops if you need to rent gear. Convenience store about an... More

We have stayed here twice now and will stay again. Parking and a storage facility next to the parking lot make it easy for coming and going on those cold days. Good variety at the buffet for breakfast and dinner makes it great for kids and the onsen bath is perfect after a day of skiing. Nothing special about the... More

We recently stayed at Hotel Hakuba for 3 nights in December 2014. The hotel has an onsen (indoor and semi-outdoor) and provides breakfast and dinner on the property - perfect for relaxing evenings after a long day of skiing. We used the onsen every single night and food at the buffet table was great. The staff were very helpful but... More

“Follow the onsen rules. Some great restaurants in walking distance, just watch walking on the snowy roads with cars coming past.”

“the first floor is connect with the restaurant and onsen, could be noisy.”
 of 5 bubbles 869yangl, 2 Mar 2015 | Read review
“Would suggest not booking on the first floor as that is the location of the restaurant, onsens and smoking room - could be noisy with the foot traffic through the corridor. We were in room 401 on the forth floor right near the elevator - typically this would frustrate us but generally everyone there is much more respectful of noise after hours compared to western countries and so it wasn't an issue. We stayed for 5 nights.”
