We stayed around 9 days in February and it was our first time in Hakuba. The staff are very friendly and even though you are a bit of distance to the lift they are happy to drop you off and pick you up from the lifts. The hotel is walking distance from many places to eat, we actually found it...

Stayed at the High Mount for a week in early February - location which at first seemed too far from the action is not a problem. You will be taken to the lifts and collected when you need to come home, but you can also just about ski home down a back track. Staff are fantastic and a huge contrast...

Great staff with super helpful hints for transport, food etc.! Great room size! Onsen available to tick if the bucket list for tourists like us! They have a shuttle bus for pickups from happo bus terminal and offer morning drop offs to sakka ski lift as well as afternoon pickups. Breakfast was perfect! Even being gluten free there were options...

We stayed for 4 nights in late January/early February. This was our first time to Hakuba and we chose this hotel after reading the reviews. The hosts provide the most wonderful service and go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic holiday experience. The room had lovely views and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom...

Stayed in February 2017 for a skiing trip. The room was small with what I describe as a caravan style pod bathroom which was entirely plastic and measured less than 2 mtrs square. Breakfast was served until 9am which consisted of a western type bacon, egg, sausage etc, all of which were either luke warm or cold. When asking for...

We travelled to Japan with friends. This was our 5th trip to Hakuba and my friends 8th and each time we have stayed at the High Mount Hotel. The reason is they treat you like family and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is located at the top of the Main Street in Wadano village. The main lifts at...

We stayed at High Mount during our week in Hakuba and would definitely return! Great location close to the lifts and nice restaurants, there is also a shuttle bus to other areas of Hakuba Valley. It is slight uphill when walking back but nothing too big. The service is excellent, and nothing seems to be a problem and staff is...

The Hotel was just right for our ski holiday. Me, husband (ski) n 16 yo son (board). Mixture of Japanese (owned and run) and Western triple room type hotel. Loves = location, yep! Onsen (hot springs) awesome view looking out onto the forest, the staff service and down right friendliness warming and genuine; hotel courtesy shuttle drop and pick up...

The hidden bonuses of this hotel. Hotel runs a small shuttle bus for guests to nearest ski lift which is Happo one Sakka and will pick up later with a phone call. The Hotel just also happens to be the starting point for the daily shuttles to the various valley ski resorts and cost is included in your valley lift...

The atmosphere of the High Mount Hotel is very warm and welcoming, thanks to the amazing staff. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and I highly recommend it to others. The rooms are spotless and the food is great. Joe and his team made sure our ever need was met. We will definitely be back to...
