Small rooms very basic but with all you need even Kimono and slippers. Toilet very small and bath/ Shower just enough to fit small and thin people. We had a shower on the Onsen everyday ,that was great . Nice area between a small forest ,picture perfect and walking distance to ski lifts and restaurants. Village shuttle buses 5 min...

This was my second stay at Hotel De Laile - my first was in 2007 we returned almost 10 years on to the day. Nothing about the hotel physically had changed... the rooms still looked the same, the keys still had the long gold chain on them, the door locks needed to be jiggled a little to open, it was...

The hotel was in a great location for skiing at different venues in Hakuba. Walk out the back door and you are at Saka in a matter of minutes. Hotel staff were very helpful and extremely friendly, regardless of their levels of English. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. The beds were rather hard but you could get used to that.

We are a family of 4 (kids aged 5 and 10) and stayed for 7 nights.. Family owned and operated and SO accommodating! The service here was exceptional. The owner helped us book other restaurants, our luggage transport back to Narita and gave advice on things to do with kids. Breakfast buffet is great - same food every day but...

Three of us couples stayed here in Jan and we loved it. A small simple hotel but was perfect. Our favourite feature was the amazing outdoor onsen which we frequented. Everything was clean, breakfast was great (liked having cereal for the first time since I've been in Japan). Location was great with us easily walking to the Sakka slope most...

I stayed for one week in a double room with my partner for skiing in December. Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again given the price point and location beside the happo one chair lifts. I would also note that the staff were very friendly, the Onsen is amazing and the dinner provided at the hotel (traditional Japanese)...

Quirky hotel with great staff. Breakfast was enjoyable and facilities were ok. Bathroom are very small!! Indoor and outdoor onsen, sauna and large dressing area. Close to snow lifts and plenty good restaurants around. Free shuttle service everywhere

Really enjoyed our 10 day stay here. Breakfast was always filling and the onsen was a great way to relax after a hard day on the mountain. The owners were so helpful and they really made our stay. I fell outside and cut my hand pretty badly and they went out there way to provide first aid. When we go...

Hotel De Laile was warm and comfortable during our stay in Hakuba. The staff were beyond helpful and very patient with our students. The food they supplied in their restaurant was sensational. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Great drying rooms for skis and boards.

A wonderful little hotel with very accommodating staff. Amazing location close to the lift line and Happo One ticket office (3min walk). Some amazing dining options within 5min walk. During the day 8am-5pm there is a free shuttle bus that stops just down the road from the hotel taking travelers into Hakuba township (5min drive) where more dining and shopping...
