We were welcomed by Rumi who was very friendly and helpful. She made an effort of answering any question and helping in any way she could. The location is lovely for sun downers. The rooms are cosy and clean with amazing views onto the ocean. Breakfast was good with a nice simple verity. My husband and I truly enjoyed our...

Our son Jack works in Okinawa and helps out at the beach house. Having not seen him for nearly 2 years we were excited to see where he was living and very much looking forward to meeting his friends. Rumi who owns the guest house is so welcoming and really looked after us, helping with sightseeing ideas and offering great...

Rumi and Jack are lovely and really make an effort to help but there are a few things to know before you go. 1. It's pretty far from anything. Some small local restaurants are nearby but nothing special and buses are challenging. Take money with you! The closest ATM is 6+km away which is a pain if you haven't rented...

This is one of the places we enjoyed the most in all of Japan. Cozy little beach house, stunning surroundings and chilled out atmosphere. Both of the hosts, Jack and Rumi speak fluent English, so it is easy to communicate. They will make your stay convenient an comfortable, and they will provide you with great tips on what to do...

A wonderful, relaxed place. Rumi, the friendly hostess, gives you a nice breakfast and tips for restaurants. Theres's a cool white cat around and Woof, the funniest of cute dogs, roames the house. From your room (japanese style with tatami or western) you have an amazing view onto the beach and the sea. The ocean is warm like a bathtub...

Sunset Beach House is very lovely place. We spent 3 nights there. The host Rumi and Jack are very nice guys. The baby dog Woof is so cute. This was my first time play with a dog. Unbelievable! Amazing. We saw many foam boxes on the corridor which containing sea turtle eggs. We heard from Rumi that the baby turtles...

Rumi and Jack were so hospitable during our stay, and Woof, the resident puppy was adorable. The four bedroom inn sits right on the beautiful beach, and Rumi offers snorkel gear for rent (highly recommend). Breakfast every morning was delicious, and a great time to chat with the other guests, who came from all over the world. At the time,...

we just spent 4 days at Sunset Beach House. it's a cozy and quiet pension located in the middle central of Okinawa with just 4 rooms, a perfect place to hideaway but you will also find it convenient to go north or Naha if you have a car. All rooms have wonderful sea view, the host Rumi and Jack are...

“A rental car is recommended for Okinawa, as it doesn't have public transport as good as mainland Japan. We managed with taxi's though, which are a lot cheaper than mainland Japan. Also if you will make use of public transport, be sure to use the limousine bus service to the Renaisance Hotel and request a pick up from the hotel, rather than taking the 120-line. The limousine bus takes about an hour, the 120 almost 2 hours.”
