I visited this temple stay with my parents (from New Zealand) and my father-in-law (Japan).
We stayed for one night at this amazing temple.
The rooms were exceptionally clean, the Buddhist food was delicious, the priests were very kind, the shared bathroom was clean and warm.
We took part in the morning prayer session and one priest showed us around the cellar where they keep many sacred documents and artefacts.
I speak Japanese so I was able to communicate with the priests, but it might be more difficult for travellers with limited Japanese to stay here.

A one of a kind experience, which allowed me a look into a typical Buddhist temple. While the monks were friendly, none spoke English so communication was difficult. In the morning I had the opportunity to join in the temple's morning ceremony, which was a unique cultural experience.
